First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the wedding pictures of Father Christmas, Sean Lamont and Paddy Wallace above the bar!

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

It wasn't a Dylan Thomas poem, just in that style. Not sure was doing the voice over, but it wasn't Burton

St Stephen was excellent when he came on, yes.

Stowers? Idle.

Nigel Owen? Gutless (and I think the Ospreys lost out the most)

JT? Lightweight.

Bearman? Out of his depth.

Adam, Ryan, Tipuric and Beck? Excellent.

Good and deserved win for Scarlets. The differ being Preistland's game management. Hook is not in the same league.

Looking forward to the Leinster v Ulster game now. I think it will be a slaughter of the Ulster lambs. Maybe they will stand up and make it a game. Do themselves proud. I hope they do.

Believe.

Hope all the regs are having a guddun. I am. guinness

I think we are going to see some stars of the future of Ulster- and Irish- Rugby. Especially young Peter Nelson. It's immensely exciting for these backline players to be going head to head with guys who were playing in the Six Nations in March- when they themselves were playing Schools Rugby. It's a huge step up in level. The learning curve could not be steeper.

But I'm excited to see these guys given a chance. McLaughlin is always a guy who believes in young players and when the decision was made to rest the team that will face Munster today he had no hesitation in throwing them in. I believe his decision will be justified by what these young players go on to achieve in the future and how our senior side performs against Munster on Friday regardless of the scoreline today.

Well said Notch. They will learn so much today. I am sure McLaughlin has told them to go out and enjoy their day and give it their all. The only way to go about it.

Believe Young Ulster.

It's kind of frightening though- they were showing highlights of the Northern Ireland sporting year and they showed a clip of the Ulster Schools Cup final at Ravenhill.

Our 12 today, Chris Farrell, played in that game for Campbell College. The same week, Gordon D'Arcy started at 12 for Ireland against England. Thats what we're up against.

So Stand Up for the Ulstermen!!

Late change as well; Simon Danielli is withdrawn. Conor Gaston in to replace him.

Heroic defence from Ulster but that was inevitable. 4 on 1 overlap. Leinster are incredibly impressive at the breakdown area in terms of ensuring the quick ball comes. It's so incredibly hard to stop when the ball is that quick.

If we can't slow the ball down we're toast no matter how heroic we are in defence.

Great kick Madigan.

He's a backrower, he'll play blindside and McComb will move into the second row.

GREAT turnover from the restart by Ali Birch. Classic openside flanker play there. Wins the penalty for Ulster. We get points on the board Yahoo

That piece of play at the breakdown to win that penalty from Birch deserved that.

Mike Ross is being absolutely pinged out of the game at the scrum for his binding. Given how vulnerable our scrum is they'll be very disappointed with how thats gone.
