Angles
At the fore front of pro wrestling for decades the angle has the power to make feuds, storylines, stars and most importantly money.
Some classics are:
Nwo
Sting (crow)
Mister McMahon
McMahon helmsley regime
Invasion
Who shot stone cold
The last big angle attempt I can think of was the nexus, which shifted a bit of mercy but failed to make top stars.
2 questions, what is the next big angle and what is your favourite angle (do not say kurt).

Re: Angles
I'm a little hazy on what you mean here because an 'angle' basically means fictional storyline so this could cover pretty much anything....
From your list it looks like you are talking major ones that engulf the entire company?...
nWo angle was the greatest in my eyes before it obviously went on too long
A personal favourite was when Ric Flair produced photographic evidence to suggest he went out with Elizabeth before Randy Savage!
The next big one? I don't know hard to predict, Taker/Triple H's retirement match at mania perhaps?

Re: Angles
I'm on about big storylines/feuds/angles that defined and structured pro wrestling for a reasonable to lengthy amount of time, a step below eras if you will.

Who shot Stone Cold? Did you not mean who ran him over?

Yes I do, it was a pun on the classic Dallas storyline.
Threads not gone like how I wanted anyway!

Re: Angles
Shawn Michaels slowly but steadily being eaten up mentally by his failure to end the Streak at WM25 and his win or bust quest leading into WM26
Shawns entire last run from SummerSlam09 was immense

Re: Angles
I preferred the original Japanese angle to the NWO angle tbh. Probably because I'd already seen it done, it didn't really seem all that fresh to me.
More recently, I loved Shawn Michaels vs Chris Jericho. Everything about it was perfect, down to the tiny details, really can't think of a better angle than that.

First of all, excellent punning. I'm very partial to a good pun
Secondly, I'd agree with Gaffer that HBK's final storyline in WWE was fantastic. In my opinion, from a character perspective it's the most interesting he's ever been

Re: Angles
2 Angles really stick out in my mind which I thought the writers and the stars did really well.
Ric Flair - The storyline where if he lost he had to retire. This went on for a few months possibly from the Royal Rumble & I sure he held the IC title through the storyline. I thought it was a great storyline which was built up superbly and really meant something. It was always stick out in my mind when HBK told him that he was sorry & that he loved him before connecting with the Sweet Chin Music. Very classy for the E in my view which a gave Ric a final goodbye at the biggest stage of them all.
HHH/HBK - When HBK returned from his back/neck injury and not had not competed inside the rinf for a good 4 years. This might have been around 2002ish...where they had some real brutal matches which will always stick out in my mind, where they faced off at SummerSlam and HHH applied to back breaker with HBK landing back first on the steel chair. Some good spots which finished with HBK coming out with the win, until HHH applied a shot with th sledge hammer in the back. That was a heel at its finest. I really do miss HHH as a heel. The fairytale story ended with HBK coming back and going on to win the World Title inside the first ever elimantion chamber pinning HHH.
Well those are a few storyline's/angle's that stick out in my mind.
