*Collectively Ireland and Northern Ireland is in 6th position.

Because sometimes you need to let people know they are wasting everyone's time.

I thought it was quite interesting to see how the numbers compare. Didn't waste my time. I wish people would stop posting negative comments and appearing to speak for "everyone".

Except the numbers were wrong, hence the waste of time.

Although not 100% accurate when 1st posted,at least this new/rare poster to golf boards made an effort just to be shot down by some. It was quickly rectified by golfermartin.

The point of the article although not entirely accurate does enlighten those who had little else to read on the golf Forum when things were quiet about the remarkable success South Africa has had in golf, taking into consideration that only in the last few years have South Africans of all races been playing the sport.

You could simply have queried the quoted numbers and/or corrected them. Personally, I thought it was quite an eye-opener to see how successful the Saffas have been.

I can only say I hope you do continue to post in the golf section and that the original post seemed more interesting than the negative comments suggested.

The likes of Ray know where they belong and hopefully he will do the honourable thing and take his maladjusted attitudes to the place of which we do not speak.

And yes in the case above I think some kind words were in order as there was no need to chase off a new poster.

If anyone posts some "facts" on here that turn out to be inaccurate then they lose credibility and i reserve the right to call that out. Looking back at my post I've been dismissive of this article but not insulting.

Mac i didn't realise this was your forum and you decided who and what was acceptable. I also didn't realise how bitter you were about the split and the people on the other forum. You know sometimes the world doesn't neatly divide into dog lovers and cat lovers.

New Year's Trivia:

I find it a little disturbing that I now live less than three miles as the crow flies from Mac, where he sits in his bedsit, one hand and one eye on his computer and one eye on a Woods poster on his bedroom ceiling. I dread to think where his other hand is.

I would happily share diner with you any time you like, I quite fancy trying the new Tom Kitichin place on castle Terrace. If you just want to share a pint that would also be ok. Although given all the flirting we do on here things might feel a little strange.
