Not sure about the issue of Robinson's input. If it were my job on the line I would want to be my own man. Personally I think Bradley has his eyes set on making the QFs of the HC, which would be a wonderful achievement despite Edinburgh's woeful Rabo form, and I think he sees that as his ticket to keeping his job. Develop some new young talent (Leonard, Scott, McInally et al) and make the QF of the HC - job done.

I think he's treating the Rabo as a pre-cursor to that. I doubt Robinson would be able to tell Bradley who to pick.

Perhaps not, however I find it a poor show for Edinburgh not to fully comit to the domestic league. It makes me pretty angry when Munster and Leisnster never bring out their big guns for the Rabo, however when they do it they still seem to win matches.

I dunno what the deal was with the Edinburgh team on Sunday, but with the recovery times that would have been available I don't buy the excuse of letting players rest.

I completely agree. Were Edinburgh playing in the HC a few days later I'd be on his side, but there was plenty time between matches, and Edinburgh sorely need points in the Rabo. A bottom 2/3 finish is absolutely not good enough.

Edinburgh's biggest failing was not making hay at the start of the season, when other sides were without star players. In the meantime Glasgow seemed to cope better.

Imperialbigdave - hello (and happy new year)

I had some serious IT issues with the new site (my incompitence). All sorted now though. So back to annoy folk with my abstract veiws and devils advocate approach to scottish rugby!
