Historically over the last few years it has been ireland and France who win the most games.

France with Wales for me. No GS
Then comes Ireland and England
Scotland and Italy last.
That said, England are under some pressure right now.

The way things are going with England´s horror run of injuries and drink driving, Lancaster will be familiar with all the players as they´ll all be from the Saxons!
You have to think all these injuries and new players stepping up to test level will find the going too difficult.
That appears to favour France most of all, and much depends on the first game to see who will come second between Wales and Ireland. Wales badly need momentum and for every hard game they have an easier game following with Scotland and Italy in between England and France. If you could pick your schedule, that´d be the ideal draw if I were Gatland in terms of getting a good look at a new look England in order to spot weaknesses and a France under a new coach with a very useful squad at his disposal.

France...Why!, Why!! Why!!!! did they have to get rid of Lievremont!
...and risky but.... Ireland, and not just because I'm Irish.
But really, France, Ireland and England are much too erratic to be able to call any Six Nations with any real confidence. Wales are perhaps the most consistently 'good' - as in they are seldom dire; and therefore a few notches up on the 'goodness' against the hot/cold French, Irish and English and they might catch themselves a Championship this year
But I'll stick with France then Ireland.

England and France. France look unstoppable on paper but I think England will have a seige mentality after the RWC.
They'll beat Ireland comfortably at Twickenham and will be out for revenge against France and Wales.
Wales will slip up at least once under the weight of expectation and Ireland will continue further on the downward spiral that Kidney has them on unfortunately.

Irelands campaign hinges on the first two matches. Beat Wales and France and we'll be hard to beat especially with home matches against Italy and Scotland to follow.
Lose to Wales and it looks like a minimum of 3 defeats.

Re: 6Ns top two
France first,England 2nd.
I can see France picking up the gs and England beating the rest.
If England beat Scotland in their first game they would be a in strong position for 4 wins in total. England with a decent management could be very dangerous.

For some reason I think it will be France with a Grand Slam. Then England. Wales had a good World Cup so they'll obviously have a poor Six Nations. It's what they do. Ireland can't expect a great year when facing France and England away.

Re: 6Ns top two
England will have a tough first match against Scotland with all the injuries they have sustained. I would make Scotland favourites due to home advantage especially if the English first choice don't recover soon enough.
Ireland v Wales. Both sides will be up for this one and psychologically Wales have a advantage but playing at home could favour Ireland. On paper it's the top game on the first weekend.
France Italy Head would say France by country mile but France being France and all that.
Overall I don't think we will have a GS this year but I'm quietly confident Wales will be in the top two.

Ah don't have a clue what's gonna happen really. Haven't even looked at who's playing who with home advantage. I was just joking a bit about Wales' tradition of yoyoing between brilliant and rubbish.

Re: 6Ns top two
I have gone for England France/France England i think either one of these 2 will win and the other be runner up. I dotn think their will be a Grand Sklam this year.
England, although they seeem, to be picking up a lot on injuries Flood, Tualaghi,Lawes, Danny Care being dropped from the squad aswell. Atleast they now have a proper head coach(Lancaster) who does know the players with his time with the Saxons.
France, now France have got rid of Livermont and brough in Sainandre France will have the momentom of coming second in the RWC.
Ireland, Ireland are a team that could play some great rugby but they could also be a bit dire too. But Ireland with out Bod to spark them into life?
Having said that they could well that 2nd place in place of England or France.
Wales, well to be honest although Wales got further than England did in the RWC, if you look at Wales performance in the last 2/3 6ns. They seem to play hot and cold, and also they do seem to like to play catch up rugby, playing and almost slow type of game then in the last 10/20 minutes they up their game, But they seem to rely on the twinkle toes of Shane Williams to spark them into life. Well shane as gone now so who will spear them on now?
Scotland/ Italy, i just dont see them getting any of the top places.

Re: 6Ns top two
Ireland if they play to their ability, BOD or no BOD have a great chance. Wales have all the right chemistry to surprise like they did in the World Cup. France heavy favorites for me this year tho their games at home suit them. England.....ah.....
My verdict: France (Win 6 Nations, No GS)
2nd: Toss up between Ireland and Wales( Wales slightly edging it on paper atm tho)
