Q&A with Max Evans of Scotland and Castres
Following on from todays squad announcement from Scotland for the 6 Nations, I am pleased to announce that Scotland international Max Evans has kindly agreed to answer your questions about all things rugby (and I am sure some non rugby ones too, if you ask nicely!).
Max plays as a centre or wing and has recently joined Castres, after leaving Glasgow Warriors.
I am sure you will have plenty of questions, so all it leaves me to do is to once again thank Max for taking the time out of his busy schedule and to wish him luck on his upcoming 6 Nations campaign.
Cheers!
Adam

Re: Q&A with Max Evans of Scotland and Castres
Is it a problem that there are so many Scottish internationals playing outside of Scotland?
Re: Q&A with Max Evans of Scotland and Castres
Is there such a thing as an out and out winger anymore or should all wingers be able to play either centre or fullback?
Re: Q&A with Max Evans of Scotland and Castres
Did you ever seriously consider playing for England at the highest level?
You were a very good golfer, do you think you could have played professionally?
How are things for Thom after his injury?

Scotland's try-scoring problem - is it that we are not capable of making the breaks, or just that we don't convert them? What can be done to fix the problem?
What have the reactions of the squad been to the announcement of Scott Johnson's appointment?

Do Castres approach rugby with a different mentality to Glasgow?
Re: Q&A with Max Evans of Scotland and Castres
Toonie, a gifted unpredictable player, but a less gifted somewhat predictable coach? Harsh or fair?

What are your views on the way that French pro's train - as in the "more is more" philosophy? Players such as Rory Lamont and Nathan Hines have criticised it saying that players aren't fresh come game day because of the beastings during the week.

RE: Q and A with Max Evans
Couple of questions for Max...
1) What is the best piece of advice you have received relating to rugby and who was the advice from?
2) If you were stranded on a desert island, what 3 items would you want with you and why?
3) When you get a break from rugby training and games what is your favourite comfort food (anything that you love but coaches/nutritionists frown upon :P?)
Thanks

The decisions made by Ben Morgan and Steven Shingler on which country to commit to for possibe caps has caused quite a bit of discussion here on 606v2. How difficult a decision did you find it, to choose to follow your Scottish routes?

Can you give Sean Maitland a call and ask him to declare for Scotland? I know that's a little bit like asking a Turkey to vote for Christmas ...

Re: Q&A with Max Evans of Scotland and Castres
So Max are we getting a football Premier League like franchise in France. Rugby is quite brutal as well you know personally and can be a short lived career. So fair play to those who get a good deal and good luck at Castres. I guess one great thing is that the bar will be raised maybe to the level of competing better with SH teams

What do you think the final order of the 6 Nations will be?
I'm going to move the discussion from this thread into a separate thread to allow the questions to be easily sent to Max.
