The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Steve Shingler, Tim Visser and Sean Maitland above the bar!
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Scarlets name a pretty handy team as well. Guess both are looking to build up nicely for the HEC next week.

Declan Kidney to be next Scarlets coach if thats your tactics Shovey Lovey
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
From a Scarlets pov, its a chance for us to play a near full stregth team (in the backs at least) to give them time to gel properly before the HEC. Perfect.

Its very handy. Munster always pick a full strenght Pro 12 team ahead of the HEC. Works better than cotton wool.

Ha no no backpeddling, that's what I always meant
Ha the ref, some Irish bloke I've never heard of, first name of Dudley I believe. Not got a clue what he's like, so shall save the complaints for later
Lucky - no mention of the I word is allowed

Dreamer, he's ok as a ref but not great. Very good domestic ref but always tends to struggle making the step up to Pro 12.

I have to disagree with you, Billy. Big Macs are lush.

Billy, usually Im not in the mood for it. But its Friday, lashing down rain outside and Im munching into a Big Mac, Chips and a Fanta. (Also, watching the Irish 2007 Six Nations DVD - only Ireland would make a DVD about coming second in the Six Nations)

ah, starving, want that lunch of Stags but am going to have to settle for a greggs intead.
And if that's accurate about the ref not making the step up to the Pro12 very well, he could be in for a roasting by the fans, bless him.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Ah he gets a roasting at most games Dreamer. Quite a lot of refs impress in their own semi-pro league get a step up and can't handle it. I know there is a very good AIL referee in Ireland who likes to touch judge the Pro 12 as he feels he is too old (32) to make the step up to HEC/international rugby and doesn't like the big stage but still wants to contribute.

I bet a monocle shop would be a thriving new enterprise in Llanelli.

I dunno about the "only place" Penfro. I'm pretty sure there used to be one in Christchurch, and it probably survived the quakes (they're only up to 9700 aftershocks post Sept 2010 now).
Granted PYS is probably one of the most profitable franchises though

Thinking about it, after going to Quins vs Sarries, I'm pretty sure there's a franchise at the Stoop too.

I was told not to. Dreamer said you live in a horrible place, worse than Ely and Llanrumney put together. Not sure what she meant by that but it sounded bad.

Up on Cwys Road isn't Prop ? Lebanese ? or are you on about the juice bar on Albany Road ?
STAG/DREAMER - if it's either of these then they are not in the city centre - they're in Roath

Afternoon Cricket, how's it going?
Stag, when you're visiting somewhere for a few days, do you really expect people to suggest a salad bar as a must-see? 'Mmm, what delicious leaves.' You might as well just graze on the grass in front of Cardiff Castle.

That doesn't sound too good - but tea is a good call. I'd drink lots of orange juice, too, that usually helps.
