The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Steve Shingler, Tim Visser and Sean Maitland above the bar!
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Have you completed the forms yet Swanny?
I reckon you'd make a great writer too - short stories, quirky plays... that type of thing. One thing leads to another as they say.

Oh yeah Gibbo,
The Welsh will indeed cry when they see that their Great Welsh Hope (according to the advertisers) has just been called up to Scotlands 6 Nations squad!
You really are being a rascal tonight Ozzy!
Actually, it is a really lovely advert.

I'm gutted he's chosen Scotland MrsP, really gutted. Thought he had a huge future for Wales
Also finished reading back.
Swanny - good luck with your proof reading course! I applied to do one when I was 17 and was still considering not going to Uni. Typical lazy arse I was I never finished it (which is probs a good thing, considering how bad my spelling can be, not sure I'd be all too good being a proofreader!). Very good luck with it though . I reckon you'll be brilliant at it.

He'd have more of a fight on his hands perhaps MrsP, but if you truly wanted to represent a country, imo it would be worth it, to wait it out for that chance.
Guess I just don't understand how he'd want to represent another country other then that he's already played for, but I know it's not the same for everyone. I just find it a bit hard to take that he's been so pro Wales up until a couple of months ago. Just a bolt out of the blue.

I was just about to post that link Penfro.
I was at the first match in that clip. We were sharing a bottle of whiskey - a quick slug when ever Ireland scored. We only had enough for one more slug in the second half. Best game I was ever at - well one of the best.
But, for the life of me I cannot imagine who you might think is the best player of Michael Campbell Henderson Gibson is only second best. You need to adjust your spectacles, Penfro.
THE GREATEST as voted by players & coaches in Rugby World magazine. You may have heard of him

Just listen to Head Mistress/Chair of Guvnors, Penfron. I do.
Shes right.
You started this by posting that great vid. I blame you.
Yeah we all know Edwards was a great Welsh player, but, better than Gibson? Reel it in man.
The rest of the World - outside de Valleys - knows better.

Shane Willaims got World Player of The Year. Yeah really?
I think that gives some prespective on International judging panels.
Edwards was not fit to lace Gibsons boots.
Its a Best v Giggs thing. Only one winner in real life.
Got Gibs on ya last.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I'm reliably informed that Gibson stood out on a poor Irish side much like BOD in the first 3/4 of his career.
Then again my informant thought Gareth Edwards a hugely over rated glory hunter and it was the Welsh front five that deserve the credit, giving him the cushiest of armchair rides.
By the way, Shane is the best Welsh player ever as he transformed Wales from wooden spooners to double grand slammers by changing the way we played. Just saying.
