Tennis Player - Cryptic Clue Thread
Let's see how this pans out.
First person to get the confirmed correct answer gets to post the next clue. No need to give the number of characters in the name, but the clue must be for the first and last name (although variants of first name are allowed e.g. Andy or Andrew)
1. Delivered without Jay, a robot, without Cy.

Re: Tennis Player - Cryptic Clue Thread
A bit of a dodgy clue emancipator (a pistol is not faster than a bullet!). And the 'ageless' bit would have to be at the end of the clue ('cos it's at the end of the answer).
And I think we need real names not nicknames
Let's see what LK comes up with.

Yeah, but that's not a cryptic clue from S_A either! It's just a description, which relies on knowledge of how the player is referred to. It's like saying 'Dour Scot with wild hair' for Murray.

Re: Tennis Player - Cryptic Clue Thread
Picasso? I assumed there was some other painter called Fabio!
Anyway, Fognini is correct so it's my go.
Terrible, sounds like a pulse.
