First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Nigel Walker, Stephen Ferris, and Planet Rugby's team of the round above the bar!

Spoiler:

Asbo,

You would only I seem to remember that my phone won't speak to your phone.

I remember trying to contact you in Dublin with no success and then having to go giving strange looks to every Scotsman in the place to see if I could recognise you. The fact that they all had the same name on their shirts made the job no easier!!

Ah Ozzy thats rough pal.

I think Toulouse look beatable this season. Looked very shakey against Gloucester, lost to Quins and made tougher work of the Connacht match than it needed to be. The 21 point margin flattered Toulouse.

That's how the cookie crumbles Stag. Northampton in my view are a better team than one struggling to get into the Amlin, whilst Edinburgh and Cardiff can count themselves very lucky that one of them will top the group never mind that the other will be one of the fastest losers. There are always some better teams knocked out than some of the ones that qualify. That's what makes it special as a competition. There is so much riding on every game. But don't worry, I will resist the temptation of bringing the inadequacies of the Rabo into the discussion at this point. thumbsup

Looking at all the groups I think the performances of the French teams as a whole has been very disappointing.

Good man Glas. I'm actually really looking forward to the Saints match at the weekend now. Both Saints and Munster are gonna be fired up for it. I expect to see an attitional game, big hits, yellow cards (which leads to more space on the field and more tries).

I can't believe Scarlets lost. I watched the first 30 minutes of the match and I assumed bonus point win for Scarlets.

So did the players unfortunately. Your man Roland kept his cards in his pocket after regretting the early card of the Saints Centre Hall. Mind you Aaron Shingler left his brain in the dressing room as was equally fortunate not to walk after his second brain fart. The Scarlets can blame nobody but themselves for not being able to get over the whitewash at 70 mins plus. The interception was a killer though as it just meant bye bye Amlin as well.

Just realised that I won't be going to Y Parc now for what I think is at least a month. That makes me very Sad

Afternoon folks.

Just having a bit of an early lunch. going to finish up at half 4 today.. also just checked and realised I am actually off work tomorrow.

must have put in for it a while ago. was going to cancel it but have instead decided to get my chillaxing on tomorrow with a few bits and pieces being done at my own leisure.

Really excited by the game the weekend. I think its been good to get some of the messy tight games under our belt again. It brings our lads down from any dizzy heights they were ending up on.

Having said that I would love to see some tries being scored the weekend and cement that top seeding

Talking of stuff like that, caught the end of Griff Rhys Jones' new sketch show last night, very good. The banker's sketch was excellent.

Pete - do you reckon they'll do a 3 parter in the Autumn for Sherlock/ Not sure I can stand to wait a whole year for the next series!

Micky - nice one on the day off for tomorrow, made even nicer by the fact you'd forgotten about it until now! love it when things like that happen.

Just read an article where it says likely to be next year dreamer as Cumberbatch and Freeman are move in filming for Hollywood movies at the moment. I can't wait either though, one of the best TV shows ever for me.

MrsP, that's a great article, sums up rugby supporters to a tea for me.

Freeman's going to be in NZ playing Bilbo Baggins in the Hobbit, while Cumberbatch is the villain in the next Star Trek movie. Both pretty big productions, so that'll fill up this year for them.

The draw for the HC semi finals will be made on Sunday evening after the last game (5.30 I think). It’ll be live on sky.

Win this weekend and we’ll probably be top seeds, I’d fancy us against anyone at home, a home semi and I’d fancy us in a final.

Depending on who they draw they could be second favourites to make it to the SF…

No but I think that two tough trips away to Ravenhill and Welford Road will serve them very well in the knockouts and they have serious momentum behind them.

Exactly stag. plan on doing as little as possible.

also I just spent slightly too long in the bathroom on my Ipad.. pins and needles ensued.

Mrs P. that was a lovely link. it's great to see a fan taking the time out to comment. most people wouldn't do it after a win but after a loss is more impressive to receive...
