The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Nigel Walker, Stephen Ferris, and Planet Rugby's team of the round above the bar!

I shall do my utmost to ensure my attendance. It might be made easier now that I thought it was going to be as eldest daughters birthday is the 20th, and she was going to be having a party on 19th, but now looks as if she will be away on school journey, so hopefully I will be free.

I will move heaven and earth to ensure my attendance. It has been made possible now that I thought it was going to be as eldest daughters birthday is the 20th, and she was going to be having a party on 19th, but now looks as if she will be away on school journey, so I definitely will be free.
A few minor corrections to your reply Pete, otherwise 10/10 mate.
Finally going to get to meet PC Pete

Transition and giving young players a chance?Same old problem in Irish rugby. Please could I have whatever you are on.Yours in rugby Sparky

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I could have written that myself Ozzy.
I didn't by the way and I wouldn't have added the third sentence but I did look at it and think Dave Kearney but not Craig Gilroy???? TOL but not Small Parcel???? And don't even get me started on Darcy.
How????
Why????
But, you know what, while I am very disappointed for those individuals I'm relieved for Ulster and too excited about next weekend to get in a flap.
Just think it sends out all the wrong messages.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
There is only one answer to all this. Let's have TWO teams in Ireland and create a 7N competition
That way we Nordies will be happy (ish) and have all our local players and anyone with an Ulster/Bok accent playing international rugby and, more importantly the bods in the IRFU will give a big sigh of relief at not having to choose any token Ulstermen to play in their beloved team.

I have just realised that I think, for the first time since I was about 12, Stephen Jones won't be playing in a 6N's. I honestly don't think he's missed one. It's a horrible feeling.

Basically the main squad is about 50% Leinster, 25% Ulster and 25% Munster.
Think thats a fair reflection of where the provinces are right now.

I agree with Dreamer about Stevo, I hope they don't regret leaving him out of the squad. The other fly-halves can be a bit like 'headless chickens' at times. And don't get me started on Henson's inclusion

I think I'm in way to defensive a mood just now!

No, for rugby reasons Henson and Hook are the boys for us.
The big question for me is who will be weeded out. The youngsters? the old guard?

Glas - me thinks you and my brawd will agree on a lot of things rugby related.
I think most of the youngsters will be culled, can't see the likes of Robinson actually making the full squad.

ha culled is perhaps harsh, sorry!
I reckon.....hmmm....Robinson, perhaps Sanjay, Rhodri Jones, torn about Henson being included or not, one of the hooker's perhaps? if so then can see Ken being cut.
Am not really sure on the others
Difficult decisions ahead anyways!
and that's it, I am off to get some sleep. I don't even care that it's before 9:30. Nos da pawb
