First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Nigel Walker, Stephen Ferris, and Planet Rugby's team of the round above the bar!

Spoiler:

Ale cuppa coffee mug guinness cider raspberry RedWine Bubbly

Just in from a long hard days work. Lost badly at FIFA 12 to mate just there, missed FedEx delivering my parcel which is days overdue and to cap it off I've just had a look at the Irish squads.

I'm not angry, I'm just dissapointed.

Actually Flip that I'm angry!

Kidney was at our match on Friday night what exactly do our players have to do to get a little recognition? I hope he meant what he said about players making the jump from Wolfhounds to the big boy squad.

WillyG,

Have you not a neighbour who would take delivery of the parcel?

Is your nearest FedEx depot far away?

I'm a country lad mrs p no neighbours anyway around. From what I understand the FedEx depot is near Belfast Harbour-ish area. Might be worth a drive up there just so I can shout at them face to face rather than down the phone.

You need to make sure they keep the parcel there for you Willy.

How annoying would it be to head all the way over there only to discover they were knocking on your door again!

Even if you don't have a close neighbour, could you persuad FedEx to deliver it to someone you know who is home a lot? Gran etc?

Kiwi - only Downey is a done deal apparently. Munster have thrown hat in the ring for the others. Casey has a lot of offers come in - including the big money Japanese offers.

Also it is my belief that the entire Munster medical team should be sacked. Their injury list is very high, there are lots of repeat injury victims and the mismanagement of Niall Ronan has ruled him out for the rest of the year.

Its Ronan O'Gara's fault stag. Because he kicks the ball away so much and can't tackle the other Munster players have to work a lot harder and therefore get injured more. FACT.

Howlett I'd imagine. Mafi covers 12 and 13. Earls replaces Howlett on the wing.

Mafi and Laulala as centres? In Munster? That means no other province could go for an NIQ centre under your new rules could they?

Leinster and Ulster don't need NIQ centres. We both have strength in depth in that area with a lot of Irish players.

Geoff seems to think that the IRFU rules will be diluted significantly. At heart I think they’re a good idea but the position specific part and the no re-signing NIE players part need to change.

Since Roger Wilson is going to Ulster, and Downey and Ruddock are going to Munster it seems only fair and logical at this stage that Tommy Bowe will join Leinster.

Rumour is Tommy Bowe was offered a contract at Leinster but turned it down, reckons they are a team in decline apparantly.

He’s probably right, we used to be top try scorers in the Heineken cup, since Clermont ran in 84 points against Aironi, we’re seriously lagging behind…

One for the mods: Just an idea, but how about formalising the institution that is 'The Friday Afternoon Rugby Test' (FART) or quiz? Each week, a different poster could set, say, 30 questions - something to while away a dull Friday afternoon while waiting for the action to start?

Morning all.

what I had thought was going to be a mental day coupled with a working lunch meeting has opened up nicely with cancellations left, right and centre.

Didn't get in after the squad announcements yesterday which probably isn't a bad thing. saves me ranting.

I am eagerly anticipating this weekends action. really looking forward to seeing Leinster and then heading to watch the Ulster match as well.

I am not sure there is a better weekend than HC weekends..

I barely left the TV last Saturday/Sunday
