Oh its easy to explain Dreamer. It doesn't actually go faster. Its just a trick of the mind whereby your subconscious wants the boring parts to end faster and the nice times to last longer.

Came back in from lunch earlier to discover that Sue Townsend (of Adrian Mole fame) was doing a book signing in the cafe downstairs.

To be honest, I'd have felt a bit guilty not having a book to get signed. And racing back out to buy a copy would have meant my burrito getting cold (which I didn't buy from the cafe so ate at my desk) . Our building is owned by her publishing co, but it's the 1st time I've noticed them using the cafe for an event like that

And I really am pretty sure you have to be a runner up in your group to make the Amlin which Leicester might do if we stop ASM from picking up the LBP!

Yeah, of the 6 teams that finish in second place, 2 go into the QF's, 3 into the Amlin and 1 does nout. But you have to be in second place in your pool to get anything.

It's encouraging to hear that Ulster don't have to win to top the group, it would make things easier, no massive, seemingly unattainable target to hit.

At the same time I think our lads have to play to win that match.

They interviewed Andrew (yeah Stuart Barnes, not David not Peter, ANDREW) Trimble on the local news on Monday night and asked him about what we needed to do to qualify. He said something like,

"There are all sorts of permutations but it would be a lot simpler if we just won the thing!"

A Kiwi colleague has just gotten back from a holiday home, and she's brought back some NZ choccie bikkies for the office. Toffee Pops

Will sleep so much easier if Connacht can play a blinder and beat Harlequins on friday night, I dont think they will want to end their first HC without a win, heres hoping.

Absolutley, the midset from the beginning must be to win. And i'm sure it will be. We've arranged to all go to the pub for this match on Saturday, a more exciting prospect than the Leinster game if i'm honest.

You know it was just so lovely hearing how excited a lot of the supporters from the other provinces were about Ulster's match last week! (Stag excluded of course as he didn't think we wanted it enough!)

As you may have picked up, I'm a pessimist when it comes to the teams I support.

Munster have no excuses if they don't beat Saints. Wilson, Ashton and possibly Downey have all been announced as leaving the club, Lawes and Wood are out injured and the club is in turmoil over the Chris Ashton v Mallinder fight.

Come on Asbo, be fair. Munster are always the beneficiaries of poor reffing decisions, especially at home. Didn't their pet hate Poite become their best mate in Y Parc?

I know a lot of folks have been talking about a Saints victory as almost a given which confuses me.

Saints battling for an Amlin spot and Munster for a home quarter.

Glas, face the facts. Scarlets are an average side. Losing 2 HC home games is poor. Not good enough. Their lovely rugby has got them nowhere. Give them a few years.
