The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Nigel Walker, Stephen Ferris, and Planet Rugby's team of the round above the bar!

Who put 10p in you!
Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. No. Yes.
The Scarlets fans will trade results for proper rugby. I tried to explain this to Stag in Y Parc and I don't think he could get his head around it. When you have a good pack you can do it. We are two good second rows and a decent prop short of a good pack. What gets me is we picked Priestland, Davies, Williams and North in these big matches because of what they did in the World Cup. It may even be on Gatland's request. However they failed spectacularly to deliver. Our backs don't know how to exploit an overlap or play off the cuff on a turnover, OUR BACKS! Right that's it I've had enough of today, I'm off home.

Glas, I was about to get the men in white coats when you were talking about this rugby over results nonsense. Its like Leinster 10 years ago.
I think was that when I said that Scarlets had arguably a better overall team than Munster but still would lose both matches.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
It is nuts.
But the best kind of rugby for winning right now is rugby played at a high intensity with good continuity anyway.
So you're not at cross purposes. Whatever kind of style of game you want to play you need a solid set piece and physicality up front.
It's the kind of rugby Munster aspire to play as well, there's no real ideological difference anymore outside the minds of the fans. Sure Munster are prepared to slow things right down into a series of pick and gos if thats what the game needs but, as far as I can see, so are the Scarlets.

Well how the devil are you, Thom? Long time no speaky. No news with me really. Just having a squiz about the boards to see what's going on...I'm a bit out of touch with the old rugby lately. I'd forgotten the teams were announced yesterday.

No complaints, an underage side I'm involved with are playing a crowd on Saturday who have won the Munster section twice in the last 2 season and I think the All-Ireland once.

It's rugby not GAA...... The league starts in another few weeks but I'm going to stick to my view that that intercounty GAA season doesn't start until May.

It's that American copy of Budweiser, so it doesn't count.
Take my pills and settle back to watch Swanney's lads give Brive a lesson(I hope)

Off to England at 3.30am. Can't get to sleep so early, so a bath and a mug of warm tea should put me to sleep up then for 3am.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
ouch to the early start Stag.
Ooo and meant to ask, did you get my money for the ticket yet?
I sadly have succumed to watching the double bill of Pobol y Cwm. There is genuinely nothing else even remotely interesting on the tv!

Oh yes.
We have loads of those parrots in our park. They escaped from the Artis (Amsterdam) Zoo.
Magic to watch them breed and thrive.
Just this Summer, a pelican was fighting herons for fish in the park. Just outside our window. MrsG feeding him Old Amsterdamse Kaas. It was amazing to watch. He also escaped from Artis. Had TV cameras here an all. It took the whole day to retrieve him.
Sometimes, the beauty is just outside your window. Just have to open your eyes to it all.
Without the birds of the Sky, singing, swooping, showing their beauty, making love & nests, this Planet, would be such a lesser place to live in.

But yea wait for it. He'll make a linebreak, or monster tackle or score a try. He always does one good thing in a really flash way. Gets him on rugbydump, gets him in public eye and people forget about the scrums.

True.
I love you by the way. Just thought I'd say that.
