The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Nigel Walker, Stephen Ferris, and Planet Rugby's team of the round above the bar!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Afternoon all.
Ozzy,
Been there, got the damp stains to prove it!
Thankfully we didn't have too much colateral damage. Except blowing the fuses when I stupidly switched on the lights to see if the water was dripping through the ceiling!
Bikkies,
I'm surprised at you wanting a picture of Shaggy up there. Did he not muscle in on your action one time?

You said it!
You remind me of an ex: "damn this bread is stuck in the toaster, hang on I'll try to fish it out with a knife..." She was genuinely surprised when I screamed at her to unplug it first!

Yes, I suppose it is, but, I'm noticing a lot of stories on here and your electrics fusing, do you think it's time somebody had a look at them?

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I'm pretty sure that having water pouring through the light fittings would challenge most wiring setups.
One of the other episodes was a widespread power cut and the other was water getting into the lights on the patio which we do need to get fixed.
The house is old but the electrics were checked when we extended it a few years ago so we should be fine.
The water one was about 6 years ago too.
And Prop, don't worry too much about missing the match tonight. Every Ulster fan will be cheering for your lads!

It's good as well though, because if they were all perfectly nice all the time it would be a feckin struggle to find things to get offended about.
Took you a while to react Rodders. Fact is, we all play by the same rules. Sooo. And your buy-ins have been so well choosen. They are positively effecting your young Irish lads. Thats what we all want. All good.
Be great to see them take that other step up tomorrow.
Believe.

Evening all
British gas man has been and the boiler is fine. In fact he said because it is such an old boiler was lucky for us as the electrics are all tucked away on them so didn't get wet, whereas on newer models they are more exposed.
Just getting settled for the rugby now.

Evening pub.
Just got in and looking forward to a cracking weekend of egg chuckin, managed to finish my kitchen today too, so I only have a couple of hours to do in the morning tidying up and getting the tools back on the van and it's a weekend off!

You've a bit to wait yet Ozzy.
Good news about the boiler though!
The middleP played her first hockey match today.
They won 1 v 0
She scored the goal!
She's now away to the Ravens game with MrP.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Well,
The school sent 4 teams and middleP was the reserve for the last team to play but we are focusing on the fact that she came on and scored the goal!
It is so funny to watch them at this stage as they haven't much or a clue yet. Standing rooted to the spot behind 3 defenders calling for the pass. Afterwards one of the teachers and I were smiling about the fact that they had asked for the pitch (they were 8-a-side so played across a full sized pitch) to be made a bit wider but none of the girls stepped outside about a 20 foot corridor straight up the middle!

I've gone for Quins by 13 and Toulouse by 6 - but both games are possible "upsets".

The weather at The Sportsground looks a little inclement - a great leveller.
Bet you had a heart as big as a cabbage Mrs P.
Thanks Dreamer, proud of that one to be honest, I had a load of problems with the supplier so it's all the sweeter now it's done.

Probably right Gibbo. But two delicately poised games in front of passionate home crowds. You never know!
And Connachts fans have been amazing for them, would love to see those guys get a win out of this whole adventure.

Mon Connacht! Payback time. Do it for yourselves and Ulster. Get down and durty in the Galway wind, rain and muck. Slow em up, frustrate them into penalties and take your kicks.
They badly miss Johnny O Connor. He's a tyro at the breakdown and a general feicin nuisance.
