Name me another fighter who has gone on and on and on about a close loss as much as this instance?
The guy lost close fight, GBP AND he, just cant handle the fact that he no longer holds the cards, simple as that.

Don't care in the slightest about the first fight anymore, don't care who you thought won, what you think about the ref, or the judges.

I had it 113-112 khan in a close fight, where a classy contender acheived his dream, would love to see a rematch between to lion hearted fighters in what was a FOTY contender fight.

People should not compare the Maidana fight to the Peterson fight, in One a champ regained his belt in a non controversial close fight, other was where a champ lost his belts to point deductions for PUSHING, throughout boxing history on most occasions when champ regains his belts there is no rematch, but when a champ (also a favourite) loses his belts in a close fight there is often a rematch. Think khan deserves a rematch on neutral grounds, the guy annoys me with his whining but I give him credit for producing exciting fights, mostly due to his flaws as a fighter, he has now fought, Malinaggi at his home, Judah at his adopted home, Peterson at his adopted home, in 6 title defence's he has Fought 3 away, 2 Home, 1 Neutral what other top class Champion has done that. Peterson should make team khan make him pay big money, try to take a 50/50 split

Context? Lara and Maidana are not british. Naturally we wont hear much from them. But Maidana is still seething about the khan fight and crying for a rematch.

Do you expect UK publications to carry interviews on Lara and Maidana?

Seething for a rematch is not the same of trying to change the result and accuse people of professional cheating...

the Maidana fight in most cases would have been stopped in the 11th rnd, and it was most certainly a 10-8 rd to Maidana..

He also rightfully got a point deducted but only because Khan kept holding him and Maidana got fed up... Khan should have also got a point taken away for holding all night long but he did not..

So you can see why Maidana does want a rematch, and also why Khan does not.

Point is, there is no differences between that fight and this one, in that it was close and there were debatable instances in the fight.. bar all the PR and accusations being thrown around by Team Khan.

True, he has taken on some difficult fights.

Although he may be fighting away, but only because its the home land of his management and PR, who just so happen to be the biggest in the business and who are promoting his own fights.

There is one huge difference between the Peterson and Maidana fights, Khan has a very good claim to say he won the fight even with the deductions while Maidana has no claim to be the winner.

Not all close fights could go either way and these two fights highlight that.

The gate would be quite similar, khan did about 5,500 for Maidana (first big fight) with two foreign fighters in USA, Peterson - Khan did near 10,000, but the tickets were very cheap, in LA or Vegas i think he would have done about 6,500 for this fight
