The end of Tendulkar, VVS and Dravid most likely...
Great set up Billy - I've got a nice big screen too.
Just on my way out (in about 25mins) brother back from Singapore with his wife... a family dinner in the city tonight. It should be a fun night.
I'll probably catch the last session in Abu Dhabi when I get back.

What a weird test this is now.
Best thing i ever did was get the tv in my office breaker. They all think that i am weired here screaming at a game that they think 'nothing happens in'. I am happy though
Have a great night with your brother mate and chat to you later.

Re: Australia v India: 4th Test, Adelaide
Close of play Day 4.
After Punter and Clarke started off well again this morning. We saw a declaration at 167/5 giving Australia a lead of 499 runs.
India lost Gambhir early; Sehwag had a short blast and piled on the runs scoring 62 off 53 balls. Then he got too eager and skied one to Ponting.
Dravid and Tendulkar looked comparatively uneasy at the crease and both went cheaply. Laxman provided a little more resistance but you could see he had an upwards task and fell on 35... caught by Marsh at short mid-wicket.
Then on the penultimate over of the day, Kohli gets brilliantly run out by Hilfenhaus off his own bowling.
166/6... Australia require 4 wickets; India 334 runs.

I must say a 5-0 whitewash against England will always feel better than a 4-0 one against India.
Shame on you Lb, that is just cruel.

Ah, I seem to remember a certain whitewash of australia as well. Was a while ago though.
wonder if it still hurts.

Yeah Billy, they are usually rather low key, often unnoticed in a pub, you won't ever see them be the life of a party, they NEVER have a dig as a cricket team.

Re: Australia v India: 4th Test, Adelaide
What big series wins have India had in the last few years ?
SL away seemed good at the time, but in context now you realise just how much that Sri Lanka team had declined ( its still ight in that slump now) .
Obviously the draw away to SA was huge, but still only a draw. And SA seem to have a brainfart test every series ( hi Sri Lanka!), as a certain WUM pointed out " everyone draws in south africa" ( except Sri Lanka) . Still probably their best seroies in sometime though given the traditional struggles they have there.
Aside from that beating Aus at home? Well good for morale and wumming but Aus were in a mess then and lets face it India should be beating them at home. They only drew the series against SA at home, which takes the gloss off doing the same back to them. Given SA dont have spinners and cant play spin its pretty weak for India.
Really the the biggest series win for them in recent years would be England away in 2009, and that one got pretty well laid to rest over last summer.
A few home wins, away losses against the likes of Sri Lanka mixed in there then the expected beatings over "secodn division" opposition.
These two monstorous beatings theyve taken in away series really make their test side look pretty average and in desperate need of an overhaul. Its tough to bring through a new keeper, a new batting line up ( the openers can stay I guess) and a new bowling unit all at once. Currently they have Kholi and Aswin looking worth retaining, and this keeper chap can have a longer go. Bring back Raina even though hes a proven faliure and yous till need a bowling batsman and two seamers from somewhere.
Bleak, in context of what India should be.

Just looking on Cricinfo and a guy by the name of Suryakumar Yadav just blasted his 3 F/C hundred in 14 innings. Seems to me all of India's most talented young batsmen come from Bombay, yet they don't get selected for the national side. Or if they do, they carry the drinks eg Rohit and Rahane. Funny that mickey mouse players like Gambhir, Raina and Yuvraj get selected so often.

They're just reviewing the last 3 matches. Looking back at it all in a condensed form makes it look even more comprehensive.
Before this series began I was thinking something like a 2-1 Oz win (with a draw in Adelaide). I felt that India would certainly put up more of a fight.
I guess Australia will have to keep going from here... Windies, SA series coming up on our way to reclaiming the Ashes again in 2013.

Z Khan gone now to a top-edged pull. c Warner b Hilfenhaus 15
India 194/9
I was expecting this to be one hell of a series, but ended up being nothing of the sort with India never really competing.
But not Australia's problem whom have played very well in the main.
Player of series def Clarke, but big mentions to Hilfenhaus, Ponting too.

At 20/5, I thought the lowest record was on again, but that has at least been avoided. Zim's lowest of 54 is still under threat though

Thanks Biltong. The guys did well... they never took their foot off the pedal.
Congrats also to NZ on it's best ever Test win - by an innings and 301 runs over Zimbabwe in Napier today.
Now all we need is England to get those last 6 Pakistan wickets for not so many runs - and have a total of around 120-140 runs to chase (or even less?) - and we could see 3 great wins in one day.

Australia are now equal 3rd with India on the ICC Rankings on 111 points.
It shows how costly that one loss to NZ in Hobart was, otherwise they'd be on 112 at least.
