The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
This is the first Pub of 606v2's second year, here's hoping for another good one.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Augustin Pichot, David Campese, Mal O'Kelly and Jim Williams above the bar!
Last Pub: https://www.606v2.com/t22310p950-the-dew-drop-inn-virtual-rugby-pub#893262

Ah, see he's a professional. It's his job to spout that Sky Sports hype line. I once saw him say that he tries to avoid Ulster Rugby coverage because he finds it much more difficult to avoid being impartial about a team he was part of. If anything when he comments on Ulster he tries to hard to be balanced and gives us nothing!
You do get the impression that he's compartmentalised 'Tyrone Howe the pundit' and 'Tyrone Howe the former Ulster player'. What annoys me about the BBC coverage is they like their pundits to be biased towards their own home nation.

Golden!
The 606 Pub (pre-Twitter) - beats that into a pulp. Bit restricted, what with the Mods and all. Ah weel. Cant be helped.
Feic, I remember when people actually had to meet to converse. Maybe this online thingy isn't all it's cut out to be.
I know I feel a lot more comfortable having actually met most of the people in here.
That's how World communication has changed Rav. People can have a vicious, online - go at each other. Instantaneously. People, who will never ever meet each other, to back it up with a Human touch. It is de-Humanising Life. It is intellectually lazy. It reminds of me Youtube. I had to leave it, because I was getting Death-threats from Christian and Muslim Funda-mentalists. My fault, not theirs. They cant help it. I can.

Woah. That's a fascinating stat. As, must be smiling. But , as in Life, once they get into regular Jeff knockouts and HC rugby, they will turn into Twitter-fodder too.
It's the Way of The World.

But if we win 3 out of 4 HC's in-a-row - we will be kunnst. But, not as bad as Munster. That matters to me.

Liam Neeson worked for the Housing Executive in Ballymena before he became famous.
I worked for the Housing Executive in Ballymena ................
Actually I worked with a couple of people who worked with him and they said he was such a great fellow.

Spot on bud. Spot. On. But. Even you, will sell your principles - for the Company Goal. No matter what you say now. That's if you want to survive and feed yourself and your family that is. It is pre-ordained.
It just is. And I have raged against all the Machines on the way. Still am. Not easy bro. They dont like it. It gets tiring.

I read a quote on twitter dudder day, that half of the British armed-forces are gay.
Is that true Cymro? Is that why Afghanhistan won? Again? Russians, French, Yanks, Brits. Give me your all your Empires and we will desist.
Love the World-Class Afghani spirit against all odds and over Centuries. If only they had a rugby-team.
Just askin. Its probably not true like.

Derry all gets a bad rep rava...plenty of good things going down that no one hears about, so much untapped potential. People here don't realise what they have.
Boring as feck compared to Belfast though....

Well I'll tell ya one thing... Rav told me that Free Derry was a far better and more historical place to see, than Belfast. And he was right.
I loved the place.
It took me a long time to get there. 55 years.
Thanks Rav. I love you. In a sexual way mind.

Glad you had a good one gibson ...wish more people made it up here but there's a 3rd world transport infrastructure in and out.
Too much of a bad rep, some of it justified, but sandwiched between the Antrim coast and Donegal, two of the most naturally beautiful places in the world .

It meant more to me than you'll ever know. It was like standing at a personal, open and beautiful, broken-down, Berlin Wall. Only it was the most impressive structure Ive ever seen - in context. Something else I never thought Id see in my Lifetime. I had a wee tear.
Lets keep that going and dont let the phhokers break it down.
I wont. Wouldnt it be great if it was like this ALL the time?
