Gloucester approach Stephen Jones (Wellies), Gloucester also bid £100k for Ben Morgan
First topic message reminder :

Stephen Jones (photo) , emblematic flyhalf for Wales, could leave Llanelli at the end of the season to afford a new challenge.
Barred by the outbreak of the Scarlets Rhys Priestland, the former opener Clermont (2004 to 2006), now aged 34, could start in other places to get more playing time
The English club Gloucester greatly appreciate his profile. Jones could bring all his experience to help Cherries and White and the young Freddie Burns, who recently extended his contract to move forward.
Gloucester also bid £100k for Ben Morgan's services to release him at the end of the season, according to the front page of todays rugby paper.

Just because you play for NZ doesn't mean you're instantly a good player. Over the world cup players like Cowan and Vito looked distinctively average IMO.

I theorise that any players with the luxury of being alongside McCaw, Carter, Nonu and Smith are going to look bloody good

I'm pretty sure even kiwi's have said it's their weak spot. He's good enough to not ruin things but certainly not a star. But then most people seem to think a scrum halves primary role is to be able to run fast/make breaks/be big. Passing ability is optional it seems

More fool him.
The way Glaws have treated Narraway should have started the alarm bells ringing in Morgans head, but then it did take him an age to decide if he was English or Welsh!
Good luck to him, looks like they may need him after the weekends game.

HERSH its such a shame there isn't a smiley for handbags, catty remarks or jealousy - never mind though 8 wins out of 9 will just have to suffice

Shame he is leaving the Scarlets as they have developed and looked after him before and during this 6N including putting him on the bench last weekend and the previous international free weekend.
Good luck to B Morgan, will he go back in the future when a new England manager selects his team! It I was Morgan I would have wait until the England manager has been appointed!

All the best to him, but it's so annoying to loose him just as he's getting really good and when he'd replaced Lyons and we'd just developed some cover for him in Murphy, now we have to hope Murphy can make the step up and develop some more cover to him (and hope he doesn't get called up to the Wales squad).
I'm also still thinking if he'd chosen Wales he could well have stayed with Wales and both Scarlets and Wales would have been sorted in that position

Wish him all the best. Inevitable once he had the call up for England, especially if he was told such a move would aid his selection chances. Murphy and Gilbert will take his place.
