Predictions - Saturday Fight Night
Its a big night for Britain, Ireland and in fact Cuba with a couple of world titles up for grabs. Brian Magee travels to Canada more than likely requiring a knock out to win. Magee will need all of his experience to take anything from this one. Two undefeated fighters clash for a world title in Ireland, while in Mexico Roman Gonzalez looks to defend his Light Flyweight belt. In other UK news, Walsh and Kays duke it out for the Commonwealth strap and former world champ Afolabi takes on the tough looking Lubos Suda.
Lucian Bute vs Brian Magee
Vitali Klitschko vs Odlanier Solis
Guillermo Rigondeaux vs Willie Casey
Roman Gonzalez vs Manuel Vargas
Ola Afolabi vs Lubos Suda
Liam Walsh vs John Kays
There are also a number of Brazilian cruiserweight fights tonight, anyone want to start a pool on the number of 1st round knock outs?

Well, thats very scientific? Just kidding
Presumably, if Solis puts on a slightly better show than Briggs, he won't be tko'd. There is a fair chance of Magee upsetting the odds, don't know if thats where my tenner would go though.
Bute - UD
Klitschko - UD
Rigondeaux - Tko 7
Gonzalez - Tko 10
Ofolabi - UD
Walsh - Tko 9

Pretty close with that one.
I must admit I knew nothing about Kays beforehand so it was a pleasant surprise to see him stay competitive for much of the fight.

A blue peter badge is on its way.
In less reported results, the still undefeated Roman Gonzalez retained his title with a unanimous decision. Afolabi stopped Czech fighter Lubos Suda in round 5, a good little win.
