Dickinson out
Scotland appear to be running low on props. Who I'd likely to start?

I presume Cross on the bench, hasn't played loose for a while, can do at a push. Other option is Kalman who hasn't been regular for Warriors this season, or wildcard promote Shiells? OK Cross to bench.

Still need 3 front rowers on the bench and with the injuries I presume it'll be the three that are fit. Do we even have them in the squad? Shiells could be a good shout.

Re: Dickinson out
Jon Welsh is in the squad. Good strong loosehead whos been improving all season since return from injury. Would, imho,be a very able deputy.

I thought 6N was still 22, so normally a hooker and a utility prop, although sides have selected 5 forwards 2 backs. We could do that if we picked Laidlaw to cover 9 and 10. Realistically AR will go 4 3 so one prop plus hooker, but could be wrong.

Re: Dickinson out
Would be happy with Welsh or Shiells actually.
If the youngster can hold Carl Hayman, he doesn't have that much to be frightened about and is used to packing down with Murray.

Re: Dickinson out
6 Nations is still 22 on matchday - only one prop on the bench.
It's an easy selection and this doesn't change anything.
1.Jacobsen 2.Ford (c) 3. Murray
16.Cross 17. S Lawson
Scotland A
1.Welsh 2.MacArthur 3.Kalman
16. Shiells 17.Hall
Done.

That's good to know - thought he was only a loosehead. Very handy to have a prop that can do both.
