England Women, Who's your favourite?
England Women, Who's your favourite?
First topic message reminder :
With the pressures of the six nations approaching fast, I thought some of us could do with a rest from the main topics of discussion and pick our favourite England women rugby players.
Please base this on skill, strength and stamina not looks, or else you'll get a slapped wrist!

I meant, ranked based on their success as a team, rather than based on the order that Rory would like to hilariously harass them in a hotel room for a funny joke.

The men are also reigining 6 Nations champions.miteyironpaw wrote:It's probably worth pausing for a minute when we say things such as "English rugby is in a dire position at the moment" to consider that it's actually just the English senior mens 15 aside team. The rest seem to be doing quite nicely, particularly the women, who have of course just beaten world champions New Zealand in a series. Why is there no IRB world ranking for women's rugby?
Hooray for both male and female English rugby people (and girls and boys)!

So women get celebrated for their teamwork whilst Brown and Ojo get exiled from the England set up for 3 years for theirs?

I like watching Nolli play and scoring tries, Merchant too. The last two years the ladies have been playing well. And Maggie tackles better than most of the men playing in the Premiership.

for those of you citing Beach VB as a 'tottywatch' example then you clearly have had no experience of moving quickly and jumping in sand. Its knackering and thats coming from a Division 1 indoor player.
Besides, everyone knows the best VB totty is in the Indoor european teams (Italy, Poland and the Dutch ...hmmm Manon Flier

FIRE, WHEEL, BEACH VOLLEYBALL! (we need a caveman emoticon)
also, to be pedantic, cavemen wouldnt have got the "ash the splash" joke, therefore would not have made said quip
i can make jokes about women, AND men. thats equality. boom.

It does seem to be a problem that noone takes mens beach volleyball seriously and they are just seen as little more than male models and eye candy for the cover of gay times, much like the Evans brothers.

Amber Reed is a minx. Charlotte Keane is also nice but looks like she might be in the "comfortable shoe brigade"

Way to go Rugby Dreamer, it's good to see a fellow female with a spine and a mind. I salute your efforts to draw a line in the sand somewhere though you have to be specific as the misogynists will be out to get you.
I've got no problems with men rating women, or this article as it stands but Hersh is a w*nker. Everybody knows it, that's his persona. Who knows in real life he may be a nice boy and perhaps even his balls have dropped.
miteyironpaw you write beautifully. keep it up.

Re: England Women, Who's your favourite?
I was almost in tears laughing at the opening posts from Hersh and Rugbydreamer.
I have always supported the English international football team and seeing as England's female rugby team has such a load of gorgeous ladies in it, I wish them all the best.
Based on looks alone I wouldnt mind taking out:
Alice Richardson
Amber Reed
Amy turner
Becky Essex
Charlotte Keane
Charlotte Wild
Claire Allan
Claire Purdy
Danielle Waterman
ah sod it, I will just say the ones I'm not too fussed on, it would be a lot quicker...
Katy Mclean
Kim Oliver
Margaret Alphonsi
Rowena Burnfield
Though provided they wouldnt mind me dragging them all over the place to watch rugby, I'd be game for them too!

They have brains?
Mine is programmed pretty simply...
Send partner to work, take partners money, make partner drive her to Llanelli, go to Bank shop near Parc Y Scarlets in Llanelli and spend his money on Ed Hardy, hand bag, boots, purse.... etc....
Make partner buy her food, make partner drive her home, kick out partner while she calls the girls over to show off what she bought...
Send partner back to work, and repeat.

Now we can judge them on their latest result:
Scotland 0 - England 47
http://www.rfu.com/News/2012/February/NewsArticles/050212_englandW_scotland_report.aspx
Michaela Staniford was Player of the Match. As I didn't see the match, she gets my vote.
