Robinson hasn't changed since 2006 with England. He picked Toon and Nindall as the centre and with Hodgson at 10

If he sticks with Lamont at 12 it won't matter who is at 10

I think that is very kind of you, Breaker. Yesterday I said to my England-fan partner that I hope Scotland win AND score tries, mainly because I believe the 6Ns tournament is better with more teams being competitive.

I feel a great deal of sympathy for Scotland's fans today. One can live with losing to a team that is better than yours, but to lose in such an abject fashion ...

We all have bad sport-following days Rose - but Scotland fans seem to be the most resilient in the world. I really share the frustration of Schizoid.

(the Wallabies loss there in 2009? was also unbearable for me to watch!)

I was saying the same when he led England. I can understand the frustration as he has a really good side (better than his Eng side) and is ruining it.

That was there best chance to beat Eng in ages and something was just wrong.

I was getting like this with Wells, so glad he is gone.

My "rant" was after I returned from watching that sh*t yesterday and after having spent a few quid re=inflating the economy of Edinburgh. No more from me - anyone want some France tickets ?

Whilst Robinson has his faults....is it his fault that professional rugby players are unable to pass a ball in 2 on 1 situations...

Scotland had a huge number of chances to score but simply showed poor decision making or skill....nothing Robinson can do about that.

Please don't sack him or he will be eligible for Lions

i think we could win it but if he is coach he'll forget to tell the boys that they need to put the ball down behind the posts

But for all the doubt...how many chances did they create...lots...how many did they finish....ZERO...its surely down the players ability to score or take chances....its basic skills to be able to score on a one on one...like rennie (i believe..but may be wrong)

And when they are playing for their clubs they take the chances.

Robinson is coaching them in the wrong style and creating anxiety / not giving them the right mental preparation.

Watch Edinburgh play - they players are there in support whenever someone makes a break and at every breakdown there is a short and long ball option all taken at pace.

Parks takes the pace off the ball so that its always slow and static and also other wrong picks put he wrong type of players in the mix. Scotlands best players play a fast unloading game for their clubs but Robinson tries to play a different game to that.

Teh players are trying too hard to make up for the tactical and selectorial mistakes hence the dropped passes / muffed chances
When players play worse for their country than for their clubs, consistently play below their potential for their country and when the wrong players are picked then the coach is to blame

TJ, im not saying support Robinson...i dont think he has it as an international coach...im just saying the players need to look at themselves aswell....they lost the game on Sat...rather than England winning it.

Maybe because thats club rugby. International rugby is completely different. Some players just cant replicate that form onto the big stage

No need to apologise 21st - you said exactly what most of us are thinking.

If Blair and Laidlaw were on from the 1st minute, the result would have been very very different.

When there is a small player pool, poor selection is inexcusable. Parks is not an international standard 10. IMO Scotland outplayed England and played more than enough rugby to win. They butchered some chances and kicked poorly allowing England to defend their way to victory. There were some very good Scotish performances and I do think that team need a change of leadership - a new coach could make all the difference. Crap selection was at the centre of Robinson's time with England !

I think the only reason Ford is captain is because hes the only experienced player who looks like a captain that is nailed on for a starting berth.
