That was a much needed wicket. Watson gets Tharanga to edge one. Out for 71.
204/8... 28 runs off 24 balls required now.

No probs mate.
McKay clean bowls Herath. 205/9 still 27 runs needed off 21 balls.

Huge chunk of wood breaks off Maharoof's bat. No run.

Yorker from Mckay 5/28. Malinga clean bowled.
SL all out for 215 and Australia wins by 16 runs.
Phew, I thought 231 was a low score but they put pressure on SL and there were early wickets which helped.

Apparently it's the first time a team has won the first match in a Finals Series in Oz, lost the 2nd, then come back to win the 3rd.

There will be some easy ranking points up for grabs.
OZ back to no. 1 ?
I bet the English is getting nervous.

Always No.1 in ODIs, BB.
They were on 130 points and India at one stage were on around 119-121, I think. SL were below them.
Maybe lost a few points (by losing 4 times? to SL) but they're still country town streets ahead of the bunch as usual.
They flew out today for the Caribbean. Quite a tiring thought after all the non-stop cricket that's been on.

Yes matches in West Indies are the worst for Australian time zones ... difficult to get at from either end , as it were : too late or too early
Test matches are worth sleep deprivation but I draw the line at ordinary ODIs...

Re: ODI Series - 3rd Final: Australia v Sri Lanka, Adelaide
I heard about Brad Haddin returning home for personal reasons. I honestly hope all is OK. Maybe it was worded like that in the news release... but he has been officially told he won't be playing for Oz in any forms again. Anyway, I wish him all the best.
No way I'll be up at 3am... maybe 7ish to see what's happening.

I was sorry to hear about Haddin. Hope it isn't anything too bad - my immediate thought was it was probably a family health issue as the simplest explanation but I suppose we'll find out the broad details soon enough. Wish him well.
