Wimbledon Tickets
Following my memorable heart-breaking Wimbledon experience of last year ( ) I have decided to follow the only remaining available route: the ballot.
Back in October, the applicants were told we'd be notified in February.
Patient creature that I am, I waited the whole of 8 days and rang the Ticket office this morning to find out that only a "small" ballot has been held and that the main one is to happen and us mortals (read masses) "notified" by the end of the month.
That's fine.
I have only one tiny, niggling thought now.....What on Earth was this first "small"ballot about?
Any ideas?

Re: Wimbledon Tickets
Possibly for tennis clubs.
LTA tennis clubs are allocated a certain number of tickets, possibly that allocation is done by ballot.
Clubs then usually run their own ballots to see which members get to buy the tickets.

I know about clubs, just thought that the small ballot was possibly for good tickets and the main one just to fill out the courts.
Anyway, I'll wait another few weeks to see what happens.
