Kevin Mitchell
Good to see he is back this Friday. Stacks of boxing ability, but obviously not the most focust fighter on the planet. Really hope he turns his troubles around and gets focussed in 2012, if he does, he has Burns and a rematch with Murray on the table. Classy boxer, good puncher, hope we see a nice KO this Friday.

Re: Kevin Mitchell
Felix Lora?
Never heard of him
Hes got 8 losses
The last person John Murray fought was Brandon Rios. Ricky Burns is fighting Paulus Moses who is number 6 in The Ring ratings
Mitchell is slacking
Be an easy night for him against this guy. Even though I think Burns would dispose of Mitchell fairly well its still a fight I would like to see

Will be at York Hall tomorrow for this!
Not a great undercard but should be a good night of boxing

Re: Kevin Mitchell
He has been out a while Steffan, think it's a tune up before a tune up then a big fight with burns. He needs to ifght more regularly, that's why he has to have these soft fights

Isn't there a reason Mitchell couldn't travel to fight Rios?

Exactly so let's not be too harsh if his travelling options are limited. Post Murray his only real option domestically is Burns.

The moral to the story is...when your an aspiring boxer who wants to fight the best, have a successful career and make lots of money...dont carry knives in your car

Re: Kevin Mitchell
Well yeah, for sure. Goes without saying but it's one thing to have a go at the bloke for that, which is fair enough, but to then complain about his opponents... We all know why he isn't travelling, no point in going over and over it.

Im not knocking him for not travelling. Im just pointing out the quality of his fellow Lightweight counterparts opponents from the Isles

Fair enough, I've probably just eaten too much chocolate and sound like I have a bee in my bonnet. Mitchell's inactivity has wound me up no end over the years, he looks a class apart sometimes but that's the problem, it's only sometimes.

Me too. Seen Ian Brown a few times. Great that the Mondays are reforming as well
So who would you cheer for if Mitchell fought Burns then?

Mitchell, all day long. I'm a West Ham fan and see Kev about a fair bit. Not that I've ever spoken to him. Likability wise Burns comes across much better but I've been a Mitchell fan for years.
Re the Mondays, if you really do like them and have seen them before then do yourself a favour and don't go again. It's painful to watch now. Seen IB countless times and looking forward to the Roses in the summer even if I know it won't be what it was before.

I know what you mean though
Fair enough. Im a Cardiff fan myself (like Nathan Cleverly). I dont mind Mitchell but il be cheering on Burns if this fight happens. Even if Mitchell loses he can stil go on to big things though if he works at itKingMonkey wrote:Mitchell, all day long. I'm a West Ham fan and see Kev about a fair bit. I should go all red pen on you both for going off topic, but as there is a chance of me getting to point out I have Roses tickets again I'll let it pass

Double standards. You are a rubbish mod.
*This has nothing to do with my failure to procure said tickets.

I commented on the music side of things while also addressing Seanusarrilius OP
KingMonkey did the same

I do envy you for having Roses tickets though
Your clearly a lot younger at heart than I originally believed

This year is like being 18 again for me Steffan, Roses, Carpets and Mondays all touring again, not so good for the bank balance though.

Saw the carpets about six years ago. Bunch of fat old men but to be honest they sounded decent and I had a great time.
Mitchell by 3rd round KO tomorrow.
