Evolution?
Evolution....
What did you think of them?
Incase anyone does not know who they were, it was a faction put together by HHH and consisted of HHH, Ric Flair, Batista and Randy Orton.
Who was your favourite Member?
Who has done the best out of being in Evolution?
Were Evolution better than DX?

Re: Evolution?
Short term, Batista was the best, he became the biggest thing in the company.
Long term, Orton. He'll be the mainstay of the company for years to come.

Re: Evolution?
They did better than I thought they would.
There'd been talk for months that Triple H was putting together a Horsemen type stable (guys like Maven & Mark Jindrak were mentioned ) which was no surprise because he'd always wanted to be Ric Flair.
So when they were put together I thought it would just be a vehicle for Triple H to play out all his fantasies and that it wouldn't benefit anyone else in the long run. He was lucky he had Evolution to be honest because they kept him relevant after his godawful feuds with Kevin Nash & Scott Steiner. It gave Ric Flair something to do whilst keeping him out of the ring for the most part. And it gave Randy Orton and Batista a launching pad after their original gimmicks (Super smiley babyface & Deacon) bombed.
My favourite members were Batista & Randy Orton although seeing as I'm not a fan of Triple H or Ric Flair (nonsensical promos aside) then that's hardly a shocker!!
I think Evolution benefitted Batista the most because he managed to make a main event career out of his feud with Triple H. If WWE hadn't botched the Randy Orton split from Evolution and babyface turn then who knows what would have happened to Big Dave? Orton would have got there eventually anyway.
Were they better than DX? If you mean the Shawn Michaels/Triple H version from 2006 and 2009 or the McMahon/Helmsley version of 2000 then yes. If you mean the original (1997) version or the HHH/New Age Outlaws/X-Pac/Chyna version of 1998 then no.

Re: Evolution?
I was never a big fan of Evolution, Orton and Batista picked up injuries all the time and it gave HHH a platform to have a reign of terror on the WHC, in 2 and a half years the only guy i think Haitch made was Batista altho he did a great job doing that

Re: Evolution?
Ah yes the Triple H - Eugene feud.
That was almost Hogan-esque in its execution.
"The mildly retarded guy is getting over?! I MUST CRUSH HIM!"

.. talking of eugene... do you think a "non-retarded" version of eugene would have or would ever work?
I mean someone that came out and knowningly mimic his opponent or adopting another wrestler's moveset he thought would be optimal for his current opponent - perhaps even moving form one to another and so on?
