The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Sergio Parisse and Owen Farrell above the bar.

Ah, ffs. Poor stuff from Ulster tonight.
We needed to improve from last week, we did a bit but not enough.

Jeez Notch I admire your commitment to lost causes. There's not one of our backs who could put their hands up in that game.

Clancy WTF! What did he blow up for, was he cold? Did he fancy a pint? Ulster going for the draw, Cardiff trying to deny them the LBP. He turns the crescendo into an anticlimax! Flip wit!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Come on Leinster- do us a favour. That was poor from Ulster. We desperately need Ireland to release Henry again next week and Wannenburg back. Faloon and Diack just don't cut it at this level. Humphreys needs a spell on the bench as well.
And hopefully Wallace can play for us again, golden boy D'Arcy has the 12 jersey on a permanent basis regardless so would like to see him stay with us.

You didn't think Wallace played well. Only Ulster player to make a clean break- or cross the gainline much for that matter.

Notch count his missed tackles FFS. He made Hendon look good and that's saying something.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I'm genuinely bemused Rava. You didn't notice that he made a couple of clean breaks and then completed the offload/pass? Or that he made yards consistently? He blotted his copybook with a bad missed tackle in the lead up to Parks try and threw an interception pass near the end but he was certainly the best Ulsterman behind the scrum

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Come on now, he was better than Henson. He's a key player for us. I would not be unhappy if his international career is over because we need him.

Henson did Flip all for 78 minutes but showed in two flashes why he still has international potential.

If you think his performance constitutes a shout to displace Darcy then I certainly am bemused.
There was only one International class performance from an Ulster player tonight and that was Chris Henry.

Wallace was pretty much the only danger player for Ulster tonight, but take that as you will
Cari - noted. Reckon I might put Ryan Jones up there too, for equalling Ieuan's captaincy record.

I don't recall saying that at all. I said he was the best Ulster player on the night and I hope he's released rather than being the 23rd man for Ireland.
Why don't you read my posts?

Good idea. Tommy is also going to become Ireland's third top try scorer of all time and he got his 50th cap against Wales so there's a rugby excuse too!
Go Ryanjo!

Did that footballer just say:
"stake their plaice for a claim in the Teme?"
Is that some weird Scottish fishing ritual?

Well do you disagree?
Think the only chance we have of seeing a different 12 start is that we now have four back to back games. Would like to see McFadden get that chance, even though I think there's little or nothing between himself and Paddy, it's a bit more joined-up long term thinking. So I hope Wallace is allowed to play for Ulster for the rest of the 6N.
That said, I don't think Wallace would be worse than D'Arcy for Ireland. He definitely wouldn't be much better either though.

Poor decision by Nigel I think. I thought Scarlets were holding in but he gave a pen for Leinster off feet.
