It's a shame she's died, and I'm sad for her daughter losing her mum so young. That girl has had a tough life with her parents the way they were.
Not wanting to sound crass, there's something almost inevitable/clichéd about famous drug users dying young and in hotel rooms. However, I hope that Whitney will be remembered for her talent rather than her decline, although I suspect the media won't be that considerate.
I only liked a couple of her later remixed disco songs (I can't stand those wailing ballads) but she did have a remarkable voice and paved for the way for the likes of Mariah, Christina and even Adele to an extent.

A guy on another forum posted a link to a CNN article in which the occupant of the room above hers, said they heard two loud thuds, followed by a man's voice calling for help.
Wasn't a fan, but she was indeed a gifted singer and the manner of her passing is very sad. As Cari mentioned, it'll be especially hard for her daughter. Hope the family pulls together to help her through this.

The singer's record company Sony Music came under fire after it emerged it had raised the price of Houston's greatest hits album The Ultimate Collection on Apple's iTunes store within minutes of the singer being pronounced dead, raising its price from £4.99 to £7.99 in the UK. The price later reverted to £4.99.

To be fair Houston's daughter hasn't had a brilliant upbringing considering the wealth and success of her parents. They've both been involved with drugs and domestic abuse since the girl was born and she's had to live with that all her young life. Give her a break.

Cari - That was just a cheap gag! I have no ill feeling towards her daughter, she didnt ask for smackhead parents...but to say im upset Whitney Houston is dead is a bit much, to say i care at all its pushing it, in fact...Good Riddance.
