Maybe he stole aspects of this very famous film and created his own genre. It won a hat-full of Academy Awards... a bit of a ground breaker in its time.

Great scene (maybe overrated for today's beach scenes) but it must have raised a few eyebrows in 1953. I just love films set on army bases in exotic locations too.
