Barf v Glaws - The build up
First topic message reminder :
So it’s finally upon us, the Toffs against the Farmers, the Blackthorn against the Stowfords, the style against the substance – the West Country derby, Bath versus Gloucester is this Saturday.
The Wreck shall be hosting this battle that will see Bath desperate to stop the run of 7 loses out of 8 games to Glaws (a stat I rarely remind bath supporters of!). Bath have found some form coming into this game, winning 5 of their 7 games this season, which as a Glaws fan I am delighted about, as I would like Bath to field an in-form, full strength side in order for there to be no excuses for their impending 8th lose out of 9!!
Glaws have won 3 of their last 7 games (1 draw) and still suffer from the usual away day hoodoo, however, with the exception of Quins in the Jeff & Leicester in the LV all their away day loses have been by less than a score. Similarly, there is no doubt Glaws’ recent games have been against better opposition so are likely to be able to get to the level of intensity required quicker than Bath.
I shall be attending the match with 5 Bath supporters, so am going to either be one very smug chap, or be slaughtered! Personally, I am in no doubt it will be the former! Either way, I am very much looking forward to the game

Vesty has been solid second half, great saving tackle there.
Looks like Glaws have the upperhand at the moment, but the benches will come into play now.

It reminds me of two heavy weights slugging each-other to a standstill, both sides look punch drunk!

Yeah, good analogy Cumbrian, they look out on their feet - that mud saps the legs like nothing else.

Jaysus, this is tense. Can't see Bath getting up there from here though, looks like it could be 8 from 9 for the Shedders.

Well we can always count on an away win at the rec, even if Newcastle and Worcester prove difficult.
Joking aside, really enjoyed that. Proper rugby match. Glaws looked the better side in the 1st half, Bath in the 2nd. Can't beat a west country tussle

They really need to add a smiley for a smug git!!
As always a great battle and great fun to be had. Taking the banter and bravado aside, its always great fun to watch a game next to a Bath fan. We sneaked this one but...
That makes it 8 out of 9! You just can't beat us!! HERSH change your name please!

Today's results are likely to leave Glos in 5th going into the Quins showdown next week. Shame a Wasps win couldn't have left us in 4th but I'll take it.

I thought Gloucester looked the better side, although Bath have probably closed the gap slightly from last season. The Bath scrum was a mess again though.

Haven't seen it yet, not sure I want to! Sounds like a similar game to when we played them at ours a few years back and sneaked a 10-7 ish win I think, in similarly awful muddy conditions.

Should we look to get an artificial pitch?

Depends, if it comes with a new coaching bench, then yes!

Re: Barf v Glaws - The build up
Gloucester played some excellent rugby in the first half, but even though it stopped raining the pitch kept cutting up and the ability to move the ball fell away. All-in-all both sides did well though I thought.

Spend the money on a front 5 or a roof!

Roof might be easier at this rate!

The Boater pre and post, which was good fun. Very amusingly the 1st bar I was taken to by all the Bath fans I was with was Browns. Needless to say this led me to ripping the wotsit out of them for going to a wine bar!

I thought HKC was barred from most?
I've heard once his had a couple of drinks he tends to take a dump in the corner of the pub whilst mumbling about Dean Ryan, why no one knows!

I was just drunk mumbling to myself in the corner of a pub, I can't even remember which one but I don't think I'll be welcome there for a while once they find it!
