Scotland's first choice backrow?

On form and at full fitness what is Scotland's best backrow?
Bearing in mind we have Brown, Barclay, Beattie, Macinally, Rennie, Denton, Harley, Fusaro, Wilson, Grant, Taylor, Strokosh, Vernon, White, Hogg, all of whom have been great, are great or will be great.

Add Macdonald to that list, hugely underrated player. Needs to move to another club as Grant and Rennie are untouchable just now.

I'd say 70% of them would start for England right now and 80% would make their 22

On 2010 form it has to be

6 Brown
7 Barclay
8 Beattie

On current form

6 Brown
7 Rennie
8 Denton

It's difficult to use 'fit and on form' - the best Scottish back row is the best one that can be picked for the France match - has to be Denton at 8, Rennie at 7 and 6 is up for grabs, some of those names in the list will never play for Scotland again - Hogg, White and Taylor were good but no where near the test team now. Look forward, you have some class players now

What happened to Hogg?

I would like to find a place for Harley - I rate him. its a tricky choice tho
