Wrestlemania 29 Venue
The WM29 venue has now been confirmed. The event will take place at Metlife Stadium in New Jersey on 7th April 2013.
I would imagine they will cover the ring like at WM24 incase of rain as it has no roof.
What are people's thoughts?

If logistics would allow it, I would love to see something like Wrestlemania 9 repeated. During the daytime, open air, natural light, etc.

Pretty sure they'd have to do it on the west coast for that to work.liverbnz wrote:If logistics would allow it, I would love to see something like Wrestlemania 9 repeated. During the daytime, open air, natural light, etc.

Do you think with it being in New Jersey that WM30 will not be in New York?

Was going to say that, would seem too close to Madison Square Garden for the following year wouldnt it?
Would be an amazing time to be an east coast American wrestling fan with 2 Wrestlemania's in 2 years if they did go through with it, which they really should!

I've got a gut feeling that WM30 will be in Dallas.
If WM30 is on the east coast I might look into going.

I originally thought the Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, especially if Stone Cold is going to have one more match it makes sense to be in his home state. But apparently it wont be there so bang goes that theory.
I hope it isnt MSG though. They use it too often, its not as magical as it used to be.

Agreed, however as gaff stated vince loves nostalgia and seeing as the other milestone wm's have been their i would place a wager that 30 will follow suit.

Re: Wrestlemania 29 Venue
I think Vince just wants WM at the MetLife before the SuperBowl is. WM 30 could possibly be in either Dallas, Toronto or somewhere in California. It generally gets mixed up in location.
We should forget the MSG hosting one from now on its not a 70,000 seated stadium.
I could see a Survivor Series or Summerslam being done again there though. Suprised Summerslam isn't there this year since its the 25th anniversary.
Interestingly its not being called Wrestlemania 29 its listed as Wrestlemania NY/NJ, if there is a massive storm though this event could go down hill, also its not exactly warm in April in that area.

Don't think we need to forget about another WM being at MSG, it's as close to a certainty as you'll ever get in Pro Wrestling, it's considered the home town ground, regardless of how much it holds it'll always get a WrestleMania
I don't really care though to be honest, it's all the same to me, long live the Hooiser Dome

I would like it to be in MSG. No matter how many it holds, the fans can still create the best atmosphere there is.

I know a Wrestlemania would be stretching it alot, but do you guys reckon wwe will have a ppv in the UK, even one of there weakest PPVs, anytime soon. We get Raw and Smackdown twice a year, so why not 1 ppv.

Why not a PPV?
The main reason is timing, the WWE are finding it hard enough to get a good buy-rate for PPV's these days without sending it back to the States on delay, the results eould be all over the net before the PPV even aired which would make it all pretty pointless

Failing that, the PPV is live from 1am from the UK?
They've done it in the past with Boxing, i'm sure one of Ricky Hatton's fights was a 4am fight in Manchester to please the US audience, is 1am-4am that bad?

Re: Wrestlemania 29 Venue
I'd be very surprised if they had a PPV at 1am UK time on a Monday Morning, also, Boxing is predomanantly attended by adults where as almost half the Wrestling audience is attended by people under the age of 18
I just don't believe the Police would be happy to OK an event that will see 20-80 thousand fans (depending on where it's held) hitting the streets at 4am
