Trivia
I go first (easy one)...
Name 3 golfers who finished in the top 3 in the 2011 Order of Merit on more than one tour...

Re: Trivia
I'll go for the obvious one...Luke Donald.
Now originally I thought it would be an or other player from Japan or Korea but I don't think it is.
Left field thought. What about the women? Wasn't there a player who played in only one tournament, but won it (Evian Masters?) and as there is no minimum tournament entry requirement for the LET, she won the European OOM as well as being high up in the LPGA?
As for the third....dunno.

First of all, you're not wrong Luke is correct, of course, #1 on both PGAT and ETI'm never wrong wrote:I'll go for the obvious one...Luke Donald.

Second, thanks for that observation, I should have said it, question refers to the main men's tours only...
Keep them coming...

I thought he maybe still played on the sunshine tour and that his Masters money would have propelled him up that.
Will keep thinking about it.

How about Rory ? With his win in Asia late on, not rocketing him up the Asia Tour list ?

What about Ishikawa on the JP and Asian tours, just a guess.
Also another guess what about Westwood?

Re: Trivia
This is an interesting game - Tinker, Tailor, Solider, Golfer...
If OneAsia counts, then I suspected one of our mystery men doubled up under that umbrella plus Asian, Japanese or Aus tour.
I was going to guess K-t Kim yesterday, but then rather stupidly checked (which spoilt the fun) and don't think he quite makes it. However, the answer might be someone else who has been discussed on the board in the past week [if OneAsia does indeed count]...?
Haven't a clue about the other!

Does ishikawa not just have Japan and pga tour membership. He would have to play almost 52 weeks a year to maintain a third card.

OneAsia Tour is an interesting shout, had forgot that one! Did Andre Stolz not win one of their big events, and possibly have a good year in Aus too....

Re: Trivia
Apologies, was terribly busy today and completely forgot that I started this thread...
So, I see there's been some good progress here
OneAsia counts, indeed... and although noone gave a complete answer but the name and one of the tours have been mentioned, I can confirm that K-t-Kim is one of the culprits... he finished 1st on the Korean Tour (another one that counts!) and 2nd on the OneAsia tour...
Now who's the 3rd one...?
BTW, none of the other names mentioned are correct...

Bloody hell, cant imagine there are many OWGR points handed out on those tours. And he only played 8 times on one of the tours, which oddly seems the norm.

Well given the clues I have found out who it. I then wasted a load of time trying to find the third tour as I had misremembered the question. Oh well, found a load of tours I'd never really heard of!

Re: Trivia
I can offer another "you know the answer or you don't" type question in the same mould as the Chilean luminary if you like. Appreciate this flavour of quiz question is not everyone's cup of tea, but the background achievement sounds quite impressive anyway -
I won the first 3 events on a certain tour as a rookie in 2010 and went on to win the order of merit for that year... I wasn't really a rookie though.
[I thought that some people refer to me as the Godfather of Golf in my home country, but strangely, I can't seem to find that on the internet...!]

Re: Trivia
Good grief, I've referred to you as the Vampire Oracle in the past but you really do know a lot!
The answer is Thailand's Boonchu Ruangkit, who switched to the European Seniors Tour in 2010 (from Champions Tour I think).
Pointed him out to my companions at the Senior Open last year, albeit at a reasonable distance. "Ooo - that's Ruangkit!" said I. Not expecting many if any Thai players around (and maybe being a Harry Potter fan, don't know), one of the party asked "So is this Radcliffe guy any good?".

My hubby says it was Cary Middlecoff (that's Doctor Middlecoff, apparently). A bit before my time I hasten to add.
