Ian John-Lewis Empty Ian John-Lewis

Apologies if this has already been covered, but it has been troubling me.

Kid Galahad was knocked down by Jason Booth in Round 1 of their fight on Saturday.

That would normally result in the round being scored 10-8 to Booth.

Galahad had dominated the round though, so 10-9 to Booth would be just about understandable.

Judge Ian John-Lewis scored the fight 120-109 to Galahad, meaning he must have scored the first round 10-10.

How is that possible?

It isn't. We need to send in some people to debate this with him. I suggest a tag team of Chisora and Haye. They seem like fair minded, balanced individuals to me.

was it a knock down~(diudnt see it)- or did he fall over.

either way unless you got it wrong then he did what he did- no point trying to work it out

Ity was a good punch, vaugfht him flush and off balanced. Touch the ground with his glove and was ruled a knock down by the ref from what I saw. Tend to agree that we should let it go, but Union does have a point.

Ian John Lewis is an absolute clown. His refereeing is atrocious, and his judging not much better. Things of this nature are commonplace when it comes to him.

I actually had to double check that because I couldnt believe that was possible.

Beggars belief. Its not even the first, secong or third time hes done something like that. Almost every time hes on prizefighter or judging a domestic bout he seems to produce a card that is mathematically impossible. Literally unforgiveable.

His name always seems to pop up when there is controversy.... Don't see how you can give a 10-10 round with a knock down, I thought someone had to win the round. The best you can give is 10-9

Maybe he didn't agree with the ref that it was a knockdown.

He could have seen it as a slip.

But in the reality of it all..........he is a bit of a clown

I could be wrong here, but I think he is obliged to take the refs decision on this. So not agreeing with the ref is not a defence. Poor schooling might be!!

He doesn't have to call it a knockdown if the ref does but it was clearly a knockdown.
