England vs Pakistan - 4th ODI
First topic message reminder :
So here we are then, England looking to inflict some measure of revenge for the test series by whitewashing Pakistan in turn in the ODIs.
Both teams make plenty of changes. For England, Briggs and Buttler are handed their debuts in place of Swann and Bopara, while Bresnan and Dernbach get their first outings of the tour in place of Broad and Anderson. Pakistan make another raft of changes, with Imran Fahrat dropped for Shoiaib Malik (suggest Azhar Ali will open), and Rehman and Junaid Khan coming in for the two seamers Umar Gul and Aizaz Cheema. Just one seamer for Pakistan then.
Pakistan: Mohammad Hafeez, Azhar Ali, Asad Shafiq, Misbah-ul-Haq (capt), Umar Akmal, Shoiab Malik, Shahid Afridi, Adnan Akmal (wk), Junaid Khan, Abdur Rehman, Saeed Ajmal.
England: Cook (capt), Pietersen, Trott, Morgan, Buttler, Kieswetter (wk), Patel, Bresnan, Briggs, Dernbach, Finn.
Pakistan have won the toss and will bat first, unsurprisingly.

KP plays a daft shot but survives on review, hit outside the line.

Still going well, rr is below 6 still. Only Patel and Bresnan left who can bat though so need to be careful.

but you've won it to be honest.
ok for a scratch team though.
with this slow scoring rate they have no hope of getting that many runsin so few overs.

hahaha - not even close today - without two pacemen and hafeez and afridi off - SIX england win tonight quite comfortably. Kp is as sound as a pound under pressure.

I don't like this type of comment. He's had a poor day yes, but any worse than a lot of the players? Thing is, as an umpire when you're not having a good day there's nowhere to hide...
Anyway, I agree that the Patel decision was a poor one (the Pietersen one was understandable, given the movement of the batsman).

the cook one was bad as well- reversed to give him out
i agree that umpires get abit to much slack-its a tough job- however as i have mentioned its why we have drs(even though it can also be improved)- bad umpiring days show us how far we have come!! and its a better place

Another sensational knock from KP today
If he keeps this up I'm going to have to start reversing my thoughts on him!

Re: England vs Pakistan - 4th ODI
well a very special knock from Pietersen, paced his innings perfectly useful supporting knock from Kieswetter too, showing that he may very well be capable of adapting to his new role in the middle-order. Good to see we can win without Cook contributing. Someone else who hasn't received any praise here is Samit Patel, who played his part perfectly in supporting KP at the end.
