What's your nationality?
First topic message reminder :
I'm interested in the composition of 606v2 - there's certainly a lot more Scots than I'd have expected for a start!

That's why Tigers are better, they don't need no sissy playgroup to run around in. Lions are like the chavs of the animal kingdom, sure when it's with three or four of its mates they'll feck you up but on their own they'll just mouth off a bit and probably run away.
Tigers'll take you one on one

In that case the Lions would make a decent blitz defence, a smothering blanket of defenders while I'd imagine the tiger would suck them in and create space effectively.

All that "space" will be of no use, there won't be anyone to pass too, and with him being solo for so long, he will be too selfish anyway.Knowsit17 wrote:In that case the Lions would make a decent blitz defence, a smothering blanket of defenders while I'd imagine the tiger would suck them in and create space effectively.

So you'd need good support runners to ensure the Tiger doesn't get gang-tackled and turned over. The Rabbit would fit the bill, quick recycling of possession and decent speed with ball in hand to make upfor lamentable defence.
Anyway, the Tiger's kit is much, much cooler than the Lions'

Better lift the kiwi % up. Born in Auckland, now live in Wellington with partner and son.
Much better lifestyle in Wellington and too much traffic in Auckland (for us land/sea loving kiwi's anyway).

My parents were born in China and it seems that our clan are pure Han back to about 1000 years but not sure.
My wife son and daughter were born in China but I think my wife's family might have a tiny bit of Mongolian from the Kubla Khan Cuddle in a bad way and pillage days.
So I support the Wellington Lions, Hurricanes and the AB's.

Forgot too mention...
Support my club Otahuhu in Auckland, Auckland and the Blues.
With the dynasty they've I'm also a solid Crusaders fan but feel this year the new backs in the Auckland backline, the improving Oats prop Charlie Faumuina (another Oats AB?) and Henry's availability for things Auckland this year they might do it!!

I also wore the red and black, played 3rd grade (under 21s) at Otahuhu when I was first out of school, spent many a wet/cold Tuesday,Thursday night repeatedly running up and down the hill at Sturges park....
Then went to college Rifles.......
Every year in late February I'm an avid, parochial Auckland Blues fan,I dont usually start seeing sense until late March...
Here we are tomorrow night playing probably the best Number 6 in World rugby at Number8,why? why?why?

Scarlets, Wales and B&I Lions supporter.
Born in Wales, moved around the UK a bit for both uni and work but have settled down now in S Wales with no immediate plans to move.
Mam is Welsh with half Irish Parents, Dad is Irish as were his parents. Many Irish uncles, cousins etc too so always support Ireland as well (as long as they're not playing Wales).

Re: What's your nationality?
Also meant to add in terms of nationality my mother is a forth generation kiwi whos family migrated from England in the early 1800s.
My papa is of maori descent- Te Arawa tribe of the Rotorua area-Arawa being one of the 7 waka (canoe) to bring the maori here from 'Hawaiki'.
We are direct descendents of the legendary maori lovers Hinemoa- who unbeknownst to her (Chief) father swam at night from the shores of lake Rotorua to mokoia island to meet with her lover- lowly prince Tutanekai while guided by his flute a few hundred years ago. (We think this is really what inspired will shakespeare with his romeo tale so the waitangi tribunal will be facing more claims).
My father has swum the route Hinemoa took and Ive yet too... I will though. So will my son. We love our swimming. .
Anyway thats a bit of me... Off to the cricket site where it looks like rob nicols field efforts just might pinch us the deciding 20/20 with the boks...oops proteas is it?

Re: What's your nationality?
Born in Llynypia Rhondda Valley, as were my parents.
3 out 4 grandparents are Welsh, nan was born in London (her parents were Welsh) she was result of an affair her mother left the Rhondda to give birth to her to avoid scandal. Only spent two weeks there before returning to Rhondda. Dont call my nan english (she doesnt like it) shes a proper valleys girl and wears more gold than Mr T to prove it
Other nan was born in Welshpool, nationality is Welsh, however her ethnicity was ROma Gypsy. Only found out after she died she was from a famous Welsh Gypsy family of musicians. Her Grandfather played the Welsh Harp and played for Queen Victoria and became the first ever Welsh harpist to the Royal household. Theres a statue of him in Welshpool.
Great grandparents are mostly Welsh, English and Gypsy. Maybe even a little of French further down the line too, ive been told

Re: What's your nationality?
There are way more Irish posters than 12.
Maybe we just need to change the title of the article to force them onto the thread to vote.
Good examples would be :
Munster produce better and more reliable options for Ireland at test level.
Anything involving the British Lions and not the British and Irish Lions.
Any article suggesting POC or BOD are not as good as people think.
ROG is better than Sexton.
Ulster players always letting the Irish international side down.
Change the article title to that and you'll see the Irish posters flood in
(I say all of that in jest BTW)

Re: What's your nationality?
I have a shorter solution...just go into the Pub (for it is there wot do they be always in....strangely so for Irish gents!)...go in there and ask them for a show of hands on Irishness.
Those that are still sober might hoist a hand and say "Tá" or "Mise", those that are inebriated on chat might tell you to "fukc off"... and you of course put those down too as that greeting is also Guaranteed Irish.
