Guptil's been one of the best limited overs openers around the last 2 seasons. He only turned down the IPL this year because he wanted to play county 1st class cricket to help with his test match play.

I took a chance on my bid for Guptil - Jessie Ryder has a base price of 150k in the auction so I went with that amount.

I didn't notice Niall O'Brien's name on the list or I might have bid.
