It's not love for De Jong, but De Jong is much better at sitting in front of the back four and breaking up play than Song is, and that is a fact.

I'm not doubting Song's quality or worth but he isn't the same type of player. If he was, you wouldn't be trying to lose Song to get De Jong.

I like Song, but like you i'd love Song and De Jong together.

Is there any chance of me getting Song without losing De Jong?

Richard Dunne + Johnson + Song + Given = De Jong + Jags + Hart.

Hart, Jags and De Jong are three of the spine of my team.

Dunne is good but he's no Jags
Given is good but he's no Hart
Song is very good
Johnson is the sweetener

But I can't deal as it is breaking up the spine of my team.

I want to keep Hart, Jags, De Jong etc, and if I can't get Song or Barry or Johnson without losing any of them then we are at a stalemate and we'll just have to leave it.

Forgetting all that, what about Rodallega for Maxi Lopez?

I wont bid on Song, for the reasons i'll list in my bid for Barry.

Gareth Barry and Adam Johnson
for
Wilson Palacios and Hernanes

Your DM would be much more solid with Song and Palacios rather than Song and Barry. With Palacios alongside him doing the dirty work, Song can be more advanced and be better for you tactically as an extra attacking option. And Hernanes is a great player IMO, rated higher, more versatile and worth more than Johnson according to that dodgy website. So that's my offer.

Vargas I am interested in, but it would need to be a swap involving one of my numerous wingers (Marin, Krasic)
I can't lose Howedes, he's my rock at the back at the moment.
Toulalan is my only DM so I have to keep him, unless I can get another DM in either in a swap for him or via other means.

What I counter with is:

Cardozo + Krasic = Vargas + Adebayor

Toulalan could go but it would have to be a big offer for him alone. I need to get another DM in before I can sell him, or at least have plenty of cash to get a deal in place.

You need a DM, you don't want Johnson, De Jong voted one of the best DM's in the league, I need the money to spend on a TP replacement. Would take effect after tactics.

And De Jong is highly rated and would form an awesome partnership with Gareth Barry. But you'd have to pay a premium to get him.

I only offered the deal as you've been interested in the past, if not i'll happily keep De Jong.

But I don't think I'd be straight swapping anyone for Nolan at the moment. I'd like a more central midfielder as opposed to the attacking threat that Nolan gives me, because I already have Lampard.

I do agree there, but watching Nolan play as I do, I tend to find he gives more in forward positions. I think what I'm really looking for is a CM to play the ball to let De Jong do the dirty work, and Lampard to get the goals.
