a lot of people do not like the pick and I can see why but Seattle would have to give up their draft to get RG3 and they are not bad enough to be in contention for barkley next year so who else can they get.

It all depends on the free agency but I can see Ryan Tannehill being drafted as high as 6th if the Redskins feel another team like the Seahawks will come in for him.cherriesfan wrote:like ur pick for seattle an completley agree, we needa QB and i like tannehill a lot
I'm not sure how many decent QBs will be available in the free agency especially in Peyton Manning stays at the Colts so you could find a few QBs go earlier (as has been the norm in the past few drafts).
I can definitely see a few WRs go late in the first round. I think Lamar Miller is a good shout but don't see Trent Richardson dropping that far.

Richardson shouldn't fall that far but im taking into account his recent surgery and the fact he isnt participating at the combine.

Would be a desperate move for any team to take Tannehill in the first round. He's not 1st round material. I still say if Barkley and Jones had declared for this draft no-one would even be talking about Tannehill except as an afterthought. Worst thing the Skins could do is force the QB issue by reaching for one in the draft. If he's still there in the 2nd round then maybe.
The Rieff pick would make more sense to me. I don't think our O-Line is as bad as some make out but if RG3, Blackmon and Claiborne are all gone before we pick at 6 then the best O-lineman left may well be the best value pick for us. You can never have enough good O-linemen.

On the latest NFL.com mock draft Tannehill goes 6th..!!
Their thinking being that with Ponder and Gabbert going high last year that this year could be the same.

I think two of the reasons Ryan Tannehill could be drafted higher are:-
1) The top two quarterbacks will go in the first two picks.
2) Teams will panic that if they leave it until later another team will pick him up.

With the way they played last year, you could argue that Gabbert and Ponder are all the reasons that you need for NOT drafting Tannehill early in the 1st round!
I saw this in a scouting report on Tannehill on NFL.com:- "He (Tannehill) did a lot to dispel concerns in his senior year, but he will need to continue to develop and likely won't be a starting option as a rookie."
And there is Shanahan's problem - he needs to start competing for the division title next season or else Snyder is going to start getting an itchy trigger finger. To do that, he needs a QB. If Tannehill isn't good enough to start next season then there's no point in drafting him in the first round and maybe even at all.

Your second link is the same as the first.
Still not a fan of giving away the Atlanta pick for #2, and don't imagine me ever being a fan of it until it's happened and RGIII proves me wrong.

Can see why you wouldn't like it but i just think Cleveland are the most likely. Put it this way, would you feel more confident in pairing someone like Blackmon with McCoy or pairing RG3 with a big fa receiver. I'm not trying to put down cleveland, i actually quite like them but they have become quite bland in recent years, RG3 would give Cleveland fans some much needed excitement and would give them some national interest

Depends on the big FA receiver, some of them I could accept but it depends on who is really going to actually hit the market, signing a couple of "decent" WR's in FA wouldn't necessarily upset me (I'm thinking Garcon and Robinson to go with Little). Would be pretty happy with someone like Bowe but I guess he'll be getting tagged.

Garcon is a nice under the radar guy to sign
