The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Ben Morgan, Stuart Hogg, Simon Zebo and birthday boy Penfro above the bar.

Mrs P I'll leave you to figure PJ out for yourself.
Him and I have a date with a bottle of Bushmills to arrange some time. I don't want to jeapordise that by making any silly comments.

Pirate - Parrot, I guess they're all in the same terms of reference.
My eye is really quite sore though.
I wonder where "Elf and Safety" stand on reckless use of keyboards?

Oh dear, PJ feeling a little bit tender this morning. Thanks.
I meant to scratch the side of my nose Mrs P, but missed, being a bloke, I guess I should have concentrated on one thing at a time.
It's still sore now.

I see Rory Lamont has a suspected broken leg. I hope he recovers quickly. Rotten luck for Scotland and they have lost key players to a major injury far too often in the past few years.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Morning folks...too much vino last nite and have a bit of a head cold coming on...going to be a long day......
I have to say that the economy is looking brighter in Ireland these days. Tough times ahead with the austerity but I'm predicting an export led celtic tiger boom in the near future.... 0.9% growth predicted this year which is pretty healthy. Property prices creeping upward in NI too with a lot of major tourist events coming in the next two years.
Good times ahead very soon...you heard it here first

Thanks Rodders... now all we need is a longish, warm and dry summer to add sparkle to the eyes, a bounce to the step and reasons to be happy when parting with money you can't afford to part with but know you're helping the economy when you do
In other words, I have a ton of gardening to do and Woodies are going to be very busy if it's dry enough.

I spent Saturday afternoon out at the "Royal Standard of England" in Beaconsfield, lovely atmosphere and some great food. It claims to be the "oldest free house in England" as there's been a pub on the site since ~700AD It was called "The Ship" in honour of the chap who loaned William the Conqueror some boats to cross the channel from 1067-1667 before being renamed in honour of its use as a Royalist base post-Restoration. No TV or music, just conversation, and I managed to get home and watch the recorded 6N matches without hearing the scores 1st.

Sorry secretfly but I'm predicting an uncannily warm March and April followed by a summer of monsoon rain and atlantic storms.... followed then by an arctic winter starting in September.
Get the Wallet out next month and enjoy the summer pal

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Sound like a great day, Kiwi. It was my sister's birthday on Saturday and we had her birthday meal on the Sunday. We walked up Rudry Mountain (near Caerphilly and not really a mountain), warm at the top, barely a breath of wind and great views all around. Then we went to the Maenllwyd Inn where I stuffed my face. I got home in time to watch Scotland v France then I fell asleep on the sofa, half-listening to Liverpool - Cardiff City.
