Dixon speed of ball
That Dixon loves slow ball. Hopefully a yellow card coming his way if be continues to slow the ball like that.

Yeah, it was ridiculous at the very end of the half to be honest. My main interest is in whether Wales' defence will continue to look so amazing now that a referee is pinging it for its rather repetitively offside nature

Who is Dixon? Do you mean Dickson? FFS at least get his name right.

What would the yellow card be for? I think you need to speak to the IRB about law changes if it upsets you so much

Not upset, Phillips did it quite a lot too. Perhaps the refs need to be stronger on it.

Stronger how? There's no law against it so what do you want them to do?

What they need to do is be stronger at the breakdown so they can be competed. But goes for all through the game

If you are going to criticise a player at least do him the simple courtesy of spelling his name right.

Both Dicksen and Youngs should be taken outside and shot...or told to concentrate on passing quickly. God i wish Care wasn't a confidence driver.

I thought Dickson played well, slowed the ball when needed and played with tempo otherwise. However youngs was utter utter ****

Re: Dixon speed of ball
Ultimately slowing down opposition ball is what can get you penalised, wasn't aware there was anything in the rulebook against slowing down your own ball. Definitely a very rare phenomenon and not a popular act if you're looking for pace, width and entertainment (even England fans were booing Dickson) but not illegal as far as I'm aware.
As has been said Phillips did it a lot too later on, though more out of pressure than anything else.

Surely the counter ploy tot eh slow scrum half is to throw forwards in and counter ruck?

Yep. Though Dickson was taking it pretty far and deliberate timewasting at the end of the half, an deliberate timewasting isn't a card but it is an offence

Yes. And refs who want to speed the game up will jump on any reason to give a penalty

Am perfectly calm, just a bit of a bug bear of mine that even though there are thousands of examples in the printed media of these players names people don't make any effort to spell them correctly. And by the looks of the 'flip me' comment it's you that needs to calm down young fella!

Interesting law
10.2
b) Time-wasting. A player must not intentionally waste time.
Sanction: Free Kick
