Wlad on Mormeck
It is incredibly difficult to adjust to such a little fighter. Mormeck is similar to Mike Tyson, just that he is still faster.”
I know he's just trying to get people interested in the fight but to say this is stupid, if any of his fans actually think he's telling the truth about this then they're crazy. You can't even compare Mormeck and Tyson.

True and this is the guy who has fought practically anyone who is there to fight.

My thoughts exactly. You know that a boxer feels (and probably is) miles ahead of his opponent when he starts having to exaggerate (or outright lie about) their skillsets in order to con us into believing that the fight may be entertaining. I know things are thin on the ground in terms of opponents for the two-headed Klitschko monster, but this is one of the most embarrassing excuses for a HW championship fight to be made for a long time.

Mormeck wasn't that good as a cruiserweight. Even David Haye beat him!

If I'm ever feeling a bit down I'm going to ask Wlad to pull together 50 or so words to describe me. That'll see me feeling on top of the world again!

Indeed. At least audley was European champion!
Yeah but Mormeck was a former world champion. Another w/c to add to his CV.

So was Audley. WBF or some obscure belt you can get a BOGOF deal with at Primark.

Re: Wlad on Mormeck
True but our friend Mr Haye favours remote control warfare and as such wlad has no more credible opponents left.

That's the quote of the thread.
Strange that they have to make up stuff to sell their fight. I know they promote the clean cut image but saying this is either tongue in cheek or very stupid and uninformed.
Pair of jokers them two.

Re: Wlad on Mormeck
To be fair to Wladimir when you got the suppossed number 3 in the division Povetkin running from you and other contenders not ready yet what can you do.
I think Wlad choose Mormeck so he can do a better job than Haye's best win...Haye still is in his head.

Wladimir is in his magic period and in his prime...Cant see anyone getting close to him let alone beating him for the next few years.

You have to disagree with everythig don't you? Just like Haye, Mormeck was a world champion. Held the WBC and WBA belts and Ring belts in the cruiser division. He was a genuine world champion not at all like Audley as you well know.

Re: Wlad on Mormeck
And Mormeck is a 37 year old whose last fight was gifted a decision against a Carlos No Name. He shouldn't be anywhere near a title shot. Audley would be even more credible (well almost).

Re: Wlad on Mormeck
Audley is about as credible as an old hag angrily wielding a handbag after you've accidentally pushed in at the bus queue.
Not saying Mormeck is a good opponent but he's the kind that boosts Wlad's career stats.

Re: Wlad on Mormeck
Boosts his CV? Like Ali boosts Holmes' CV? Beating a Euro Champ, former Olympic Gold medalist also looks good on Haye's CV. Its just that Audley was ......worse than rubbish. Mormeck is on par there. I'd even pick Audley to decimate him.

Re: Wlad on Mormeck
Yep precisely. Audley, despite his flaws will always be an Olympic Champion, Haye gets to say he's beaten an Olympic Champion. It is a fact. Wlad will beat a former unified ring champ - that is also a fact. Stats boosting fight.

How can anyone say Mormeck is worse than Harrison?

Re: Wlad on Mormeck
I think this is a shocking mismatch,Mormeck is a cruiserweight with very little heavyweight experience can't get remotely interested in it.
The Klitschko's are struggling to get any decent opponents, it says's everything about this Heavyweight era its one of the worst in boxing history.

Re: Wlad on Mormeck
Sure Mormeck held all the belts at Cruiser at one point but that was a few years ago now. Personally i think Mormeck will perform better in the ring than Harrison would but i haven't seen Mormeck since the Haye defeat. He's going to take a pounding i think.

I just heard on Ringside that they have sold 50,000 tickets for this fight? That is incredible.
