Once all the tactics are in.

Only vote on the opposing league and send these votes to either myself if you're in my league or TSC if you're in the other league.

Everyone raging on about Messi this morning as expected (and deserved) but did anyone else catch Neymar's goal?

Neymar is undoubtedly talented, but he will be like a fish out of water if/when he moves to Europe. Especially as if he moves it will be big money and to a European giant.

Brazil is his comfort zone.

I can't see how that verdict can be made on him before he's even taken the move, go to the right club that suits his play and he could be fantastic, same could be said with most and up and coming players like Kovacic, Polo, Hazard etc. The Brazilian league is really not that much of a stepdown anymore like it used to be, lots of very decent players are now moving back there in their prime rather than it just being wonderkids and those wanting to return to their boyhood club before retirement.

Hero, it's my opinion.

I might be wrong, but I think he is too lightweight for the more physical European game. It's also a place where he won't get a freekick every single time he gets a defender leaning on him, so it will be a shock to him.

Ronaldo managed to in the Premier League nearly every week and that's the most physical league going, he was just twiglets legs and a bag of tricks.

My point is he needs to adjust, and how well he adjusts and how quickly he adjusts will be key to how well he performs.

As for Silva and Modric, they weren't mollycoddled in the same way Neymar seems to be. Modric playing in Croatia would have had to adapt early on whereas Neymar, as a big fish in a small pond (as the Brazilian league is compared to big European leagues) gets protection from referees.

Nick & ITFL,

Really need to get cracking on with voting now guys so please hurry with tactics, being lenient as it's first week but I will enforce the rules of goal penalties and loss of bonus cash if they're not in soon.

I don't see his point. Evra held his hand out and Suarez refused to shake it. How can he say Evra didn't mean to hold his hand out as he had no intention of shaking Suarez's if he had allowed it???

Not unless Evra was going to not shake it, but run his hand through his hair after, leaving Suarez's hand hanging in mid air. Would have loved to have seen that Laugh

Would it have turned into a western show down....hands by their sides, staring each other down and both waiting for the other to fling their hand up.

He's said in an interview that he thinks Evra was 'clever' in the handshake incident and didn't actually offer his hand at the correct angle so that Suarez passed him and then he could grab him and make Suarez out to be the bad guy. Thought that Evra had been up all night planning it!
Also said that Suarez isn't racist and that Paul McGrath was actually racist for having a pop at him for wearing the Suarez tshirt on Twitter.
