Mormeck must have thought he was fighting in the UFC as he seemed to go for constant double leg takedowns on Wlad

Mormeck saw the paycheck to be honest, not bad money for under 9 minutes of actual work. I would spend months training just for that as well

Yeah, at an MMA fight last week and a guy was on the card with a 4-27 record however apparently he'll pick up a grand a night for being that journeyman. I take way more Poopie each day at work for a lot less!

Yeah but the guy would still have to fight twice a month to earn a decent wage.

Will the German authorities look into that fight and suspend Mormecks purse a la Audley Harrison style? Mormeck really didn't want to fight, I'm not sure how many "punches" he threw in 4 and a half rounds but it can't have been much more than ten.......2.5 punches a round say......does he deserve his purse for that?

He wasn't allowed to throw or land any punches. Wlad kept him at a distance and the second he got within punching range, Wlad held him like his wife. The ref should have deducted points from Wlad for leaning down constantly and holding - not that it would have made a difference.

I understand what your saying but I'm not sure I'm buying into it tbh.....it looked to me that Mormecks plan was to dart in with his head around Wlad's waste level and wait for Wlad to grab him...maybe an attempt to get the ref to dock him points? Why Wlad didn't upper cut him more I don't know.

Many fighters enter the fight with a game plan against Wlad. As soon as the bell rings, thta plan comes to nothing. Wlad is that good. Mormeck was crap anyway. Didn't deserve a shot and got what was coming. Good earner for him though.

I hope Klitschko has a fight with Arreola in the summer, one of the very few decent matchups out there. Arreola would chase him round the ring all night.
