The aim of this thread is that I will post a YouTube link up to a song that I am a fan of. The next person that comments rates the song out of ten and then puts his own link up and so on and so on! Hope it picks up, its a way for everyone to be introduced to others music tastes!

Saw this crowd in Universal Orlando two years ago, best free concert I have ever been to (if you don't count the $50/$60 to get into the park! Rides are class there too!)
They had This big hit a few years ago. Solid band I think.

That 'Drive By' song is a good tune, they've played it on Radio 2 a lot and it's not bad at all. 6.5/10.

That 'Hey Soul Sister' song they had, on thee other hand, is one of the most annoying songs I've ever heard in my life. I hate it. It has the worst lyrics of all time.

The chorus will annoy the shoite out of you but the actual lyrics of the song are pretty good, about a break up. They have better songs though.

It's been overplayed, but it's a future classic in my book. The album is great too - the 'The Love Below' part anyway. 8/10.

I bought Merriweather Post Pavilion and although there are some good songs on there ('My Girls', 'Bluish', 'Summertime Clothes') I wouldn't say I enjoyed listening to it. I'm not too keen on this new one, sorry. 5/10.

My judgement of this is a bit clouded because I saw a rerun of the Old Grey Whistle Test the other day with two songs by the then-new Siouxsie and the Banshees. Both songs were terrible, she was just droning on and it was unpleasant music. Maybe that was the point. This is decent enough, but it's no 'Hong Kong Garden'! 6/10.

Just listened to it, Thomond - it's not bad, but it doesn't excite me. A lot of stuff that tries to be epic tends to fall flat for me - but then if I heard it at stun volume at the cinema during a film, it might have a different effect! 6/10.

7/10 A good song, kind of a psychedelic (spelling?) theme to it.

Has a kind of punk aspect to it, but a strong message. They're a decent band and a bit different for me as I wouldn't have huge interest in that type of music but they have some good stuff.
