GM mock round #3
Round 3 is now open, please note the positions for all teams are not the same as rounds 1 and 2.
I would also note as well that if you are going to be away and its nearly your pick i.e you are 4 picks away then you can mail me, Derby Blue or PR4WN your pick, it's advisable to send a board of 4 players if you are 4 picks away, that way if the 3 teams in front of you take your 1st 3 selections, then you will have a 4th.
If you dont have time to look at draft sites then you can ask for the Best Player available in ranking, which I will use from Draft Tek, or if you like you can ask for the BPA at a specific position i.e you want the highest ranked CB with your pick rather than the BPA which could be a QB and you dont need a QB in your side.

Re: GM mock round #3
Morning LeedsCowboys! Just thought I best point out that in the 2nd round I made a trade with Bambamwillis that saw the Panthers get the Eagles 3rd round pick, so pick number 13 in this round actually belongs to the Panthers.
Cheers

Could you add the 1st and 2nd round picks in spoilers like in the other thread? You also still need to change the order to reflect the trades that have been made.

I believe that everything there is right, apart from the fact we don't have the Bears & Cowboys trade in the spoiler but can you all check that if you took part in a trade it's there.

Its the trade a couple of us queried and then decided that it was okay.
In the second round thread, posted by Leedscowboys on Fri Feb 24, 2012 6:09 pm as follows...
Leedscowboys wrote:Dallas trade, their 45th overall pick for the Bears 3rd round pick #73 the brace of Bears pick in the 4th round #111 and the Bears 2nd 4th rounder pick #118 through Cleveland and the Bears 6th rounder at #173
which I then clarified in the subsequent post as
crazy_dave23 wrote:
Slightly confused by exactly what is going on with that trade.
Am I right that it's
Dallas gets: #73, #111, #118 (Cleveland) and #173 (@ 225 + 72 + 58 + 22.2 = 377.2)
Chicago gets: #45 (@ 450pts)
Chicago then picked Ben Jones, C, Georgia with pick #45 (i.e. Rd2, Pick 13)

I realised to late I sold myself short Dallas in that trade, wonder if I should give Dallas the other Bears 3rd rounder and send a 4th back to make it more equal

Probably slightly late as it was brought up at the time.
Dallas still have a whopping 9 picks remaining anyway

I think Dallas still got enough picks out of Chicago that it works as a fair deal.

Just to let it be known that I may have interest in trading back in the 3rd round. I'd be looking for a 4th round pick to do so though and would be willing to chuck in a late round pick if needs be. My Panthers are picking at 13 in this round.

Just realised I'm on the clock for JAGS
Have not even had a chance to look at anything ,so as to not hold us up for hours
Can I have the BPA left at OLB or DE whichever is highest ranked

Just to keep everyone in the loop - I'm on the clock just now but have made a trade with Browntown and sent details to Leeds and Derby. Browntown has also PM'd them with who he wants to take with this pick as he won't be around today.

The Carolina Panthers have traded their 3rd round and 6th round selections to the Denver Broncos, in return they receive Denver's 3rd round and both 5th round picks.

Aaaarrrgghhh!! And there was the danger of trading down to gather more picks. I've got a list of 3 players I'd be happy to take in this round - Osemele was one of them and was probably my favourite of the 3. Nervous times now waiting to see if I lose out on the other 2

As far as my spreadsheet says the picks are
Carolina Panthers 3rd (#77 from Philadelphia) and 6th (#167) round picks for Denver Broncos 3rd (#88) and two 5th round picks (#129 from St. Louis and #152) round picks.
As opposed to what is currently listed...

St. Louis wouldn't pick first in the 5th unless Colts have lost their 5th rounder.crazy_dave23 wrote:Derbyblue wrote:The Carolina Panthers have traded their 3rd round and 6th round selections to the Denver Broncos, in return they receive Denver's 3rd round and both 5th round picks.

EDIT: All trades involving picks after the Raiders 3rd rounder are probably wrong as I imagine people have forgotten to discount the pick spent in the Supplemental draft.

Re: GM mock round #3
Because we're talking about late round picks, I don't think any anomalies as a result of the Pryor pick not being taken into account will make any material difference to the fairness of the trades. We're only going to be a pick or two out and in the 5th round the difference in value from one pick to the next starts off at 1 point and finishes at 0.4 of a point. In the 6th round it's 0.4 of a point the whole way down.

Re: GM mock round #3
Yeah it wont make a material difference, but I just want to get the numbers sorted so its right and we don't need a whole round of debate when it gets to Rd 5 for a bunch of trades detailed in past threads.
Derby mentioned that
which is correct, however as he also said, the Terrel Pryor pick from last year messes up the simple use of 32*(previous round) + pick so the St Louis 5th rounder would be number 129 not 130.

I guess he didn't realise he was on the clock?
Can I just check have we all been PMing the person after us, once we've made our pick?
