How was the Utd game last night?
I saw the result but wondered how they got on against one of the so called 'lesser' sides of the spanish league.

Basically Bilbao just wanted it a lot more than Utd. If it hadn't been for De Gea it'd have been 6-2 to Bilbao.

Were Utd that bad or Bilboa very good?

I wouldn't say Bilbao were amazing, Utd were poor and just didn't seem up for it. Defensively for Utd the teamsheet was risky with Raphael, Smalling, Evans, Evra. Smalling then got injured so Jones slotted back so it was getting pulled apart quite frequently, add to that no-one in the middle of the pitch that seemed to want to win the ball back and everytime we got the ball it was a lazy pass forward often that went straight back to Bilbao or into touch. Rooney was trying but it was one of them you could see he was getting more and more frustrated with as he was coming deeper and deeper to get the ball.

Jones doesnt look like a defender to me.
I prefer him to be a DM...same with David Luiz.

Rooney's pen was perfect too

Agree he's too attack minded for a centre back for my liking.

My team in the other league are called Athletico Bilbao Baggins FC and I'd been a fan of his and Javi Martinez for a while, was unsure though if he was worth getting for but now he's got more awareness for the game last night I thought it was a prime time to strike for him.
