I bet that's in your "favourites"...

Like any South American talent (or any player in particular) he'll never be properly tested/rated until he comes to Europe.

He's been signed already by Genoa which I think is a great club for him to go to rather than immediately get stuck in the ranks of Madrid who were also keen.

Yeah that's a good move for him. They should all go to Italy or Portugal before moving up. Even Neymar would benefit from a year or 2 at Porto eg before he inevitably goes to Madrid.

Viva City v Atletico Bilbao Baggins

Gotze makes all the difference with a display of class setting up both goals

Very hard to define a winner, both well organised caused a stalemate. Bilbao Baggins defence played well limiting what De Gea had to do and when he was called upon he pulled through.

I like the way Viva has set up and the style of football, with clear instruction to his players. Bilbao are a good side but they can improve on Sturridge up front who is hit and miss with finishing for me, and maybe they could add a winger to improve on Nene. They exploit Bastos being out of position for his goal early, but Park helps out later and cuts the danger. Hamsik can feed Huntelaar and Pirlo can control the midfield.

Good line up by Bilbao, Good tactics, similar strength team by viva

Match of the 1st round. A good battle in midfield that eventually cancelled eachother out resulting in the draw.

BB defence and DMs prove near impossible to break down and only a piece of magic form gotze gave strurridge the one clear chance of a tight game

Cunning Canaries v Straight-Edge United

Hernandez settles the game with a close range finish

Cunning Canaries very clear and precise in their game plan and executed it very well.

Canaries have more defined instructions to their players and SEU seem to lack a true defensive midfield player which Bellamy can exploit.

Lots of Dangerous Players for CC, Tactics are good as well. Straight edge also play well and earn a draw, perhaps a few more bullet points however needed.

This match was won and lost on the wings. Unfortunately for SSE, the Canaries had too much pace on the wings and couldn’t cope.

CC take advantage of SEU pushing out wide and pilks and oxo take advantage but there is enough talent that causes pressure for SEU to grab a draw very late on.

ShuntingSheep FC v Real Ale Sociedad

Close fought game Real very solid at the back and get a well deserved point

Shuntingsheep defence played very well considering the pressure they took in periods of the match. Real Ale Sociedad deep back line was key in dealing with Shuntingsheep attacking wingers.

Both sides have the same system and seem to cancel each other's strengths out, SSU have a talented midfield but less cutting edge up front, and vice versa for RAS.

Like the look of Real Ale’s line up and tactics are good. Not many players I know for shuntingsheep.

What can I say, Shuntingsheep have players I have never seen play so I can’t rate them. I can only go off what I know.

Wings play beats RAS Fbs in a tight game , a lapse in concentration by JAR see GroBkreutz score a lob over the keeper

Do people prefer it low scoring or higher scoring?
At present we are just dividing the total goals by number of votes with the right to remove amt scoring we feel isn't done fairly.
We can though go down the route of only dividing the goals by half the number of votes of people prefer.

And yes carling fc is available if you want it FC

It seems that way, it keeps the scores down and doesn't result in the morale sapping 4-0 losses that occurred in the FL when everyone had only voted 2-0 though which happened a couple of times.

It's impossible to find a perfect results calculator Smile This one is alright although a lot of draws I can see a lot of draws happening. Perhaps add a goal for every 3 "winning" predos?

Does seem that there could be a quite a few draws, like 10-2 and 13-4 only translated into 1-0 and 2-1 wins. Maybe an extra gaol for 3 predicted wins or something along that line sounds good

i got bored in FL due to my losses being so high. so i just gave up

keep it the way it is

Losses won't be as high in this but I do think there needs to be something to separate teams when one team has an average vote of 1.49 and 3 extra wins and the other has an average of 0.51.
Under the current system that would result in a 1-1 draw.

Look at olly v bull

1.14-0.57
Essentially, that's 2-1. Seems a bit unfair it ended up 1-1.

Looking at the scores everyone posted though of 1-0 and 2-1s then it'd be wrong to then translate that to an aggregate score of 4-2 etc.
But I'd do think the bonus goal for netting 3 more wins sounds a good idea.
Anyone absolutely against it being used as of next weeks results?

We won't do it retroactively as that would be unfair on this weeks results but we will commence it from next week Olly.

Unless absolutely everyone votes against you it's unlikely you'll lose more than 1 goal and the most you could lose is 2 goals.
