Morning. Good result for München last night. I knew if Basle conceded an early goal it would be a high scoring game. Inter went out?

Yep on away goals.
Munchen looked decent, think on a good day they could actually give the big two a go.

They need the full starting XI fit though. The Schwein has been injured and he's key to them. A return to form for Muller? If those 2 are playing well then they could well give the Spanish teams a good going. Still hoping for an El Clasico final though.

Sick of football after Crawley Town's performance last night. We've gone from playing good football and being top of the league in November and December to playing hoofball and falling away badly in February and March.

I agree, but he is a make do for now. He does give me options, and I think Nene, with the form he is showing, was a good signing.

It seems very top heavy to me TSC, a bit of a Megamind thing going on there.

Is there a more experienced midfield than:

-----Ambrosini
Seedorf---Lampard

??

I'm not saying I'm going with those guys, but is there a midfield three to match them in terms of years and apps in this league?

It's that size to hold his giant Krang-like brain.

As for the midfield, I'll get Muniain to run at them and they'll have heart attacks.

Not really, Elias (CDM) Keita (CDM) Rakitic (licence to push up behind Jelavic)
Welbeck & Giovinco covering the wings as well as attacking.

Well, they do have a combined age of 102, and have amassed more than 2000 appearances between them.

Games Goals
Lampard 740 222
Ambrosini 495 37
Seedorf 768 110
Total 2003 369

I might just sign players over 30 from here on in, and rely on their experience to see me through... Works for AC Milan.

I do, imagine this one:

---------------------Ambrosini
Seedorf-----Scholes----Lampard----Giggs

I'd be unstoppable!

I'd then get Pippo Inzaghi up front and call Steve Ogrizovic out of retirement to play in goal.

It appears to be based on stereotypes, such as...

Italy - defensive, slow paced, methodical
Spain - attacking, passing, movement
England - attacking, high tempo, work rate
Germany...a bit of a mix of all of them. Closer to PL than the others though, from my point of view.

English - fast paced, lack of skill, physical game
Spanish - skill based, lack of physical aspect
Italy - slow paced with focus on defence
German - most all round game

Happy with my TP's, gives me more options in midfield. Owen Hargreaves may end up at a club next season where he plays regularly, and Ross Barkley is going to be a big star either at Everton or somewhere else if a bigger club goes for him.

Not bad for a combined £5.5M to be fair.

Good move for Hargreaves for that fee I thought. He never crossed my mind but he would have fit well with my search for midfielders.

Isn't it annoying when you have a player in mind but can't afford him so are waiting patiently until you have the money, hoping that no one will steal him?

Good summary of the football comparisons people.

Spain > Germany = England > Italy at the moment? (with regards to club sides)
